On 95.5 KV interviewed a doctor that has performed this surgery and it doesn't sound good. Best case sounded like 6 to 8 weeks, but there are chances for complications that could push recovery well past that. Then a dude called in and said he has had the exact same surgery and based on his experience with rehab, he's convinced this is season ending.

I would guess Rudy's out for the year. Considering our year will end in April now.

That is what will happen. KP has proven in the past he won't make a deal with the short term in mind. As much as it hurts, I have to agree with him this time. Maybe the Blake expiring becomes attractive to somebody - but you're not going to get a marquee guy for that.

We still should have made a deal last year though with RLEC.

check out the Warriors, they've had lots of trouble fielding a full lineup for much of the season. I'm guessing that this isn't a reflection on the team's medical staff but just bad luck... it happens.

Medical staff doesn't control when a player goes for a ride on a Moped...:drumroll:

There's no sense panicking and ruining what can still be a fantastic future by trying to salvage what is turning into a nightmare scenario for this season.

Why do folks always try to label folks as panicking. There is panicking. Then there is acknowledging reality. In the words of Bill Paxton: "In case you haven't been paying attention to current events, we have been getting our asses kicked.".

That's a pretty good young core right there.

And if we could add a good young power forward and a star perimeter player to it...well, I like that future.

Please refer to my "Who Wins?" thread. That was exactly the point to which I was alluding.

Yup, I agreed with your implicit point, that the team has a lot of talent on the DL. It was just interesting to me that the four main players out could constitute a pretty nice "young core" by itself.

I've gotten over my bit of depression about the Oden injury and am now looking forward to the rest of the season to see which little-used players might step up and augment next year's team, which should be tremendous.

It is described as an outpatient surgery meaning the patient often can leave the hospital on the same day as the surgery or, at worst, spend one night in the hospital.

This is what happens with nearly 100% of the patients who die under the knife, so not good news. :sigh:

you're probably just going for the joke, but that accident was over a year ago and Monta is currently killing it for them putting up monster numbers. Being one of their few healthy guys, dude has had 4 games where he played all 48 minutes and another 5 where he's played at least 44. He's on my fantasy team so I'm not complaining :pimp:

I don't understand why we still have Mills on the roster. We need a healthy body much more than we need an undersized injured PG drafted at the end of the second round.
