they have on the few possesions where we've fed him the ball but that's what 4-5 times a game?

Those are the games he's in foul trouble. I'd love to see him roll to that basket hard after setting a pick, I think it would really increase his touches.

if you are capable of improving on something, why not? no reason to settle for 3rd best when it can be even better.

right. which is why a lot of people are calling for him to get more touches inside.

Maybe running more plays for Rudy would hurt our offense. It goes both ways...

i didn't say they need to run more plays for him. i said when the blazers give him the ball with the intention of creating something, he needs to be able to do something other than shoot a long range fadeaway.

Seriously. I whole heartily agree. Why can't we run him off some screens for an elbow jumper like Rip Hamilton? I've been wondering this ALL season.

My bad. This thread kinda split two ways, so I got mixed up.

I agree with you that Rudy needs to be able to do more, and I'm not sure who's responsibility it is. Probably a mix of Rudy, Nate, and the assistance.

I think Bayless is better than Rudy.

i think bayless will be better than rudy and that he could be better than rudy by the end of this season, but i don't think bayless is better than rudy right now.

Tough call. Bayless is being asked to do more than Rudy right now with Blake's injury. Rudy was clearly superior at the start of the season, but I's much more even now.

Hmm. I don't think so, Rudy is clearly getting more looks than Bayless. Bayless is just asked to play defense and drive occasionally.

I don't think most of you deserve to have a player like Rudy on your team. Fucking christ, what a what have you done for me lately board this is. This place makes me sick just reading through half of this shit. WE ARE NOT A PERFECT TEAM. MICHAEL JORDAN, BILL RUSSELL, LARRY BIRD, MAGIC JOHNSON AND BILL WALTON ARE NOT OUR STARTING 5. Can any of you actually just fucking appreciate for a moment a ROOKIE season. I'll repeat that, ROOKIE. Fuck. Seriously. It's absolutely fucking pathetic how god damned fickle this board gets. Oh, he fades away, oh, he doesn't play like a 10 year vet, so I'm going to fucking nit pick. Fuck you. Seriously. A championship for 60% of you isn't going to be excitement, it's going to come across more like relief, as if it's something that is rightfully yours, but you have been waiting on for a while. You can't enjoy a single fucking thing about our team. How many teams have ever had a perfect season? How many have you ever lived through to judge against? I grew up in Chicago. Got to experience greatness first hand. Got to see essentially perfection on the basketball court in MJ. That isn't walking through the RG loading dock. And even still, half of you would judge that he couldn't shoot the 3 well enough, and didn't defer to hsi teammates enough or some bullshit. Most seemed to predict a battle for the 7th or 8th seed this year, and when that happens, it's mother fucking bedlam, with every fucking complaint after another. We're on pace for what every person in here thought would happen, but it isn't fucking good enough. Good fucking christ. Yes. I am cussing too mcuh. Fuck. I'm pissed. I come here to enjoy myself, and I get nothing but a bunch of fucking whiney perfectionist who are nothing close to it themselves to have any business to expect it elsewhere. Fuck. Is there satisfaction in this for some of you? If not, just fucking get out now. Seriously. You won't make it. Or just wait for game 7 of the NBA championship, with a minute left, and choose your favorite team that way, you'll be a lot happier for it. Gimme a fucking break. Like a bunch of high school bitches up in here. Fucking shit.

Cleveland lived by it last game, and won.

    Nate seemed okay with that.

He said our plan was to keep them out of the paint and make them hit from outside.

They stepped up and hit from outside.

I don't know.. I felt there was some legit discussion about Rudy. No one's saying they're disappointed in him or saying he's a a big bust and we should trade him -- those thoughts are reserved for another dooms-day poster around here.

edit: well, yeah the thread title and OP is pretty bad I agree.
