What's sad is I'm almost want him to retire or go elsewhere.

That way the media can just stop bashing the Packers and do what Dan Patrick said. Accept the fact that hey Green Bay is rebuilding. They're not going to win now. They're looking at the future. The sad thing is the people who bash the Pack are the same who thought they wouldn't be any good. So why is everyone shocked that a Super Bowl contender in Chicago came in and stomped Green Bay? Green Bay is a very young team as well. Chicago returned pretty much everyone from last year. I'm not that shocked at all that GB lost.

With Favre it's constantly negative about the Pack.

I look at the Lions and I bashed them for this but I envy them in a way. The Lions go out and lose a game 9-6. If that was GB because of Favre the Packers would've been bashed and you would've heard similar things you are hearing now. The Lions on the other hand are making "strides"

I almost wish GB was in that situation heading into this year. With or without Favre this team isn't winning many games. It's not that I care what the media thinks but for the last 2 years it's been nothing but negative about the Pack and it does get annoying after a while.

Even when they took Hawk, people were saying, Why not Vernon Davis so Favre has a weapon.

It's starting to get old and fast. Green Bay is rebuilding. I'd have a lot more respect for Favre if he stayed with the Pack and eventually went up to the coach and media and told them he will stay on as a backup and help Rodgers along this year and we'll see if GB trades him next year or if he just retires.

If he does retire I can kind of understand it. I won't think of him differently but I rather have the above than just quitting on the team.

Oh this rumor is untrue from what I can gather. Not one mention of it here in Green Bay so if I wake to breaking news and a schedule press conference. I?ll be very surprised.

Green Bay getting shut out is a big deal, as long as Favre is the QB there will be people who pick Green Bay to win in every game ( me being one of them). It's not that I expect the Packers to win every game, but I know they have a chance to win. Favre showed that he is learning how to manage the game and not take so many chances, he thew two INT's but both were when they were down 26-0 so I don't think there is anyone who would argue with the decision to take some shots. The Packers just have to figure out how to convert on the 3rd and shorts, and that game could of had a completely different ending. So that's what they will be working on this week and I think that everyone will be singing a different tune after the game against the Saints ( except BF1, he will just say Favre made a deal with Reggie Bush [IMG] )

Because all the little Favresters are going to go home and say their prayers and eat their vitamins and yell so loud for Brett Favre that he will feel their cheers and throw for 10,000 yards, 65 touchdowns and -20 interceptions over the next 15 games while leading the Packers to a mark of 15-1. So Bear fans, whacha gonna do when Favramania runs loose on you????

I can't believe I talked this kinda smack about Favre and none of the forum cheeseheads had anything to say about it. The only one who took exception was BA and I think he was defending Hulk Hogan.

Nope - it was just a quick call-in to a radio station that he does some work for as well.
