I would be willing to take a chance on Rondo and his attitude. But Beasely has seemed to underperform (for his athletic talents) his entire career. An underperforming player with attitude issues . . . not a good mix for the Blazers.
Beasley is going to be an interesting case this summer. His career PER is 16, and he's still only 23. My worry with him is that if you give him too much money and a long contract, he's just going to stop trying. This is his contract year, and he's putting up the worst PER of his career. Then again, maybe Rick Adelman doesn't know how to coach him, and he'd go back to being a 17 PER player, and maybe better, with good coaching.
God Beasley will be our new miles. Talk about repeating history. It's almost scary how 2004 compares to this season!
I'd happily take a chance on Beasley if we were for certain trading crawford. Much more so than Ridnour. I'll take the risk on talent. He's far more talented than Miles ever was.

Wowsa! I'd never trade Nico for Beasley. He can ball, but he's been unwelcome everywhere he's been. Now, If we are trading Crash somewhere, then I'd take the chance and bring Beasley on as his replacement, sure.

Defiantly wasn't talking of trading either one of them for Beasley just that if we can move Nico for Rondo somehow i'd take Beasley or if we trade Crash somewhere.
Official rumors I can confirm as being rumors: 1) Batum/Matthews for Rondo 2) Oden for a lottery pick 3) Felton for Blake (even though it doesn't work under the trade rules)
I don't come around this forum very often... PapaG - How legit are any of these rumors? Do you have any inside sources, or are you making up this crap and claiming they are rumors? If true, I would take the Rondo & Oden trades and run!
You should read the thread on Lakersground about that. They expect us to take back other players they dont want and be act like they'd be doing us a favor, I love how entitled that board is.
That's OK - their sense of entitlement can't be much worse than how many posters here feel like we can just trade two or three pieces of our garbage for just about any other star (or even combination of stars) from whatever team we choose to pilfer (that is, IF we had a GM to actual make any trades).
