Rice has to make sure he makes the entire fan base happy, so he says the exact opposite things throughout the telecast

Well listening to Rice, he seems like somethings up. Like he knows something, but can't say. He seemed a little excited. Then the later part of the chat, he started "downplaying it" talking about not making any dumb moves. I think management told him he better shut his mouth. LOL

Everyone in the chat all agree that he knows something big.

Smith has really been horrendous but I would like to see him play under another coach perhaps. Elliot looks really good and I hope he can start getting more minutes. Still shaking my head at the Smith pick.

Rice has been uber excited, and "hinting" about a giant trade, for Paul, mainly, for the past about 3 years. I'll believe it when I see it.

He does this every time. Come on, Mags. He does this every deadline. Every draft day. And then we all get excited.... And nothing (or something minor happens).

LMAO as it's already a fukked up season so you may as well make deals for expirings or guys that will very likely opt out! but then again it's the SS minnow mgmt we are talking about

No disrespect intended, my man. But Rice is always doing this. I used to get excited, until about a year or two ago, when I realized that Rice just does it. It's how he draws ratings. Hell, how much more often do we all check the message boards when we think something might be up? I know I'm constantly checking, looking for any sort of update. Then, the deadlines come and go, and we're all left disappointed, except Mike Rice, who manipulates us for his own ratings. Bastard.

Well if Blazers want expiring contracts and players likely to opt out, they should not trade Felton, Crawford or Wallace. So who do you think the Blazers should be dealing?

(FYI-don't need to mask swearing around here)

Touche. But it wasn't the big difference-maker that Rice often hints of. I like G-Dub, but Rice is always hinting at much bigger things. Chris Paul, Rondo, etc. Something that could really change this team. G-Dub and Camby are solid moves, but those types of moves are best when you're already very close. Those moves put you over the hump.

True... But I am just replying to what he was talking about because yuyuza asked me to. I see the Calderon and Barbossa one look pretty realistic though. And that was quoted from a rag in Toronto. Yeah you are probably right.... LOL!

Only Matthews then... He is the only longer term contract worth more than 6 mil.

Why I think Minny would swap Ridnour for Crawford. Well Rid is starting at 2 guard. I guess Crawford would be an upgrade at 2. I don't know if I would like that deal though. I'm not a big fan of Rid.
