D’Angelo having no value is utter nonsense. Gm’s don’t think like fans. They aren’t going to discount everything he did last year offensively because of a few shitty games. Johansen is an upgrade to Strome but not by much. I’m sure Nashville would love to have D’Angelo their power-play is a pile of shit and they have absolutely no defenseman capable of running it. I’m also quite sure they would like to rid themselves of Johansen’s Salary while getting two guys on shorter deals

Any GM interested would have contacted Gorton when Tony turnover was parked in the press box. His soft as Charmin game is useless come playoff time or were you not watching last year?

How the fuck do you know Gorton hasn't been contacted by lots of GM's in the league? Are you sitting in his office? The defense in the league this year for a ton of teams has been abysmal. Not to mention the PP's of about 10 teams.

Very angry these days dumpy. Down with Quinn, he is terrible, just like Renney, Torts, and AV before him. All coaches stink...LOL.

    Rinse and repeat...

Sounds like Vince Dunn may be available. He would be a nice addition to bolster the D corps.

I don't have to be a GM to know if "Angelo is sitting in the press box beginning the season while Smith and Johnson lumber around something's up. I'm always pulling for US players but there's no need for Tony here and Fox who is part of the rebuild is running PP1. Maybe I'm picking on Tony but I thought his effor on the breakaway goal last night was soft. I couldn't be happier with Gorton after years of lazy Sather though I guess the Rangers owed him for providing the Cup lineup. Gorton has done a great job clearing out the dead wood and sentimental favorites now the rebuild is in full swing. Too many dmen, not even a tiny spot on the roster for Tony and his large RFA contract.

Yeah, actually you do. I've heard for decades how Rangers players have no value or they have to give up their entire farm for players and it never is the case. Rangers fans always hate on their players 10 times more than any other fan base I've seen. I'm no exception.

    Interesting post.

    SO:

Rangers fans hate on their players, and don't throw our coach out every 2 years.
You overrate our players and bash all of our coaches every 2 years or so.

    Funny.

Just trying to figure out if it's dumpy's hands or ass posting and which one said he was done watching this year's team of potential young talent 5 games in because the coach is a meanie. Decades of dump this one horsewhip that one but I hate on players, thanks for the laugh Karen.

If you stop talking like you know what other GM's are thinking and pull your head out of your ass and realize that a defenseman that could have ended up with 20 goals and 70 points in a full season isn't worthless, then post.

Ok Karen I'll try to post and not talk like a GM, take an extra Pamprin honey, you're bloated with more hate than usual this year. Tony played a good game tonight but you are utterly lost if you think he's part of the Rangers future with his salary but I 100% agree Tony should play over Smith and Johnson. Hajek should be out there too. What a win tonight, another dominant performance against a tough goalie. CK needs to shoot the damn puck.

You are talking like a fan pansyporter. Acting like a child because somebody doesn't think a guy who had 53 points in 68 games last year is now worthless because of 5 games this season. Stop and think how fucking stupid what you are saying is.

I'm not a GM but I enjoy playing one on a message board kinda like ecery other poster and I confess to being a Rangers homer as well. This is an exciting year to watch future stars develop but for some it's quickly turned into a Quinn effigy burning. As far as Tony goes I don't see him as part of the rebuild, you think he's a mini Messiah. He's scored 105 points in 205 games there is no doubt about Tony's offensive ability it's his defensive shortcomings (-16 career/-6 in 3 playoff games) that give me concern.

No he wouldn't. He's available because his offense isn't elite and his defense is average to below average. I liked his game at one point but he hasn't improved. Robertson is probably going to get that spot. Rykov has played lights out this year. He was hurt most of last season. We need a defenseman simply to take the 3rd line d spot from the left side. Rather give it to Rykov, Hajek or Robertson. Looks like they really fucked up on their Hajek scouting. Essentially that McDonagh trade is basically all about Lundkvist. Howden is a role player at this point. Henriksson hasn't scored a goal in 42 SHL games which is mind boggling.

Hajek looked really good in that 6 game stretch a few years ago before that shoulder injury but for some reason hasn't developed since. Still think Reunanen could be a decent player and we'll see on Rykov too but he's been underwhelming overall.

I find it hard to believe that Reunanen or Robertson despite no NHL experience can't do better than Smith or Johnson. Same with Hajek even if he's not what the Rangers hoped for. Only reason Miller is playing is because they had 2 spots open on LD and he looks like he's going to be an all-star for a decade.

Of course, there's the irrational thinking again. If he does things I don't like he is awful and should be fired. If he does things I do like, playing Miller in the top 4, no credit and it's because he had no choice. Once again very fair and rational.
