Nic hasn't shown much in the three years that he's been here. If anything, he's shown that he's extremely inconsistent. Could he come over this year and tear shit up? Absolutely, but I'm not ready to bet the farm on Nic Batum. And what's so great about cap space? We had cap space a couple of years ago, who did we end up with? Andre Miller. We couldn't even entice Hedo Turkoglu here, what makes you think we will be able to bring in a primetime free agent? They all seem to want to go to LA, NY, or Miami these days.

Armon Johnson is a good player at least from the several times I've seen him actualy play last year. He's a great defender, an enthusiastic high-energy player, a good slasher and he just keeps going and going on offense. He makes some mistakes but he was a rookie last year. If we trade him I would be very disappointed.

He played in just 7 games according to NBA.com.
Played 13.1 MPG, logged 5.7 PPG, 2.1 Reb, 1.4 Assists, 1.1 TOs and 0.6 Steals. These are not bad numbers. Also, his percentages are quite good. He shot 53.8 % from the field, 40% from 3 and 66.7% from the line.

because you can also use that capspace to acquire a player in a sign and trade or just a trade and absorb another team's capspace

Why can't you have both Lotto picks and cap space? I don't understand? Lotto picks are the key to winning championships. Unless you are an extremely poor run organization. (That doesn't bode well for us)

I've made suggestions, why don't you and Natebishop make a few as to HOW you would get those picks, who you give up and your strategy - I'll I'm seeing is a lot of hot air

I think it has more to do with having both, so you can be creative in the draft. Take a page from Seattle (Before OKC); when they used their cap space to aquire picks and absorbing a larger contract. The only way I think Brass should forget cap space is if somehow they can get a marquee player (allstar or superstar). If that can't happen, then save the cap for Summer IMO.

Interesting. In Espn they have Armon playing more games and less efficiently.

I'd love more lotto picks. The people most say we can or could trade off of our roster in a "rebuild", Wallace, Camby, are not likely going to get you a lotto pick in return. Unless we find a team with many bad contracts that are willing to send them for an expiring Camby. Just 1 expiring doesn't help, because of the amnesty.

My prediction is that Armon will surprise many people this year. I hope he gets a bigger role and from my impression of him he has a lot of basketball in him.

I will be surprised if Armon remains on the team. I think we could pickup a cheap vet and let him go

I really hope so. With Rudy and Roy out of the picture; he has a good chance to get some burn. I hope he maybe the Basketball God's gift from this travesty.

Suggestions? Do I work in the Blazers front office? Who cares what you suggest or what I suggest?

OH! How about we spend the next couple hours on the ESPN trade machine thinking up trades that will never happen?!? Sounds like FUN!

I'm saying the direction I think we should take. Try to acquire draft picks and young talent. That's as far as my "suggestions" need to go. Otherwise it's just worthless guessing about who is available or what we would have to give up to acquire someone.

With no response or ideas looks like you guys are full of hot air, really easy to sit back and criticize and put out no ideas yourself isn't it?

How about we trade Gerald Wallace and Ray Felton for LeBron James? I like that idea. How about you?
