BeerBoy......if I don’t go to a newer version of my A6 when I upgrade, I am thinking of going with the AllRoad. Bummed that they are now on the A4 chassis and not the A6 though. Poor man’s RS6!
Dammit I hate it when I have to agree with you (except offering a GM product from any era is an absolute travesty). And FWIW, I drive an Acura RDX. It’s what made Japan great again (#MJGA)
I have a 2009 bmw 328i - Bmw makes a really nice car. I’ve never had a problem with it. I bought it at 42,000 miles, I think it has 80,000+ miles now. I’ve gotten it up to 145 a few times. Anyways, I don’t treat cars very gently, and this thing is holding up great. I’ve driven this thing up to timberline, with no chains or studs, with 2 snowboards in the back seat (Obviously the snowplows did their job that day). Like 6 months ago, I got a 2012 jeep Grand Cherokee limited. I love this car. I never drive the bmw anymore, I’m gonna sell it to a friend.
I am not high on American cars usually, but I drove some really good American cars recently. The latest Camaro has a chassis Europeans should be afraid of - it feels way too nimble for such a heavy car. The Mustang GT350 has an amazing engine - that flat-crank V8 sounds like nothing else, and while it's chassis is not as good as the Camaro's - it is still very good. The early RWD Tesla Model S was very good as well (the new ones I am not that crazy about). I have heard that the new Model 3 is also fantastic - but did not have a chance to drive one yet. Finally, there are always Jeeps. I would love to have another Wrangler in my life.
We had a 4 door Wrangler in Kauai last year. Had a blast in it, because we could keep the roof panels off and charge all over the place for sure. It was fun, but wouldn’t own one I don’t think. Wouldn’t have been able to get this shot without it!
Yes, I love the newer AllRoads. That'd be my car of choice if I had $$ to buy. They look bad ass with some lowering springs or coils and the fenders etc painted the same color as the car. I drool over the pics guys post of theirs on the Audizine forum. I'm not as big of a fan of them stock, they sit too high.
