Why is everyone bashing Toronto? They're an awesome team with a great future. Salmons will only make things better.

I mean yeah it looks like you'lll have a good future but right now u guys have no defense or veteran leadership.

Heck I never said anything about making the playoffs. In my opinion, we'll hit there maybe in a few years. And yes i agree, without defense, we won't get very far. Also I never said anything about Colangelo is God. Some Raptors fans say that because our previous GM was you-know-who, and seeing a big change like BC just astonishes some of us. We know he's slowly putting pieces together into this team, and give him time.. its only been a few months since he came here

Nice pickup for Toronto. Salmons had a career year last year in Philly, and there is no reason why he can not continue to grow in Toronto. He made a desicion that benefits his career in my opinion, because he will get more minutes playing in Canada.

You guys seem to think he's better than he is. The only place I would've seen him improving a lot in is Phoenix becausea player like him would fit in their team and offense well. Plus he would play along Nash who would probabl make him a better player.

The east is pretty weak. After Cleveland, Detroit, Miami, New Jersey, and Chicago there is not much there. If Bargnani can come in and score 14, and if Bosh, Mo Pete get better, and TJ doesnt get injured very much, and if we can have some scoring off the bench and better defense then we had last year I think its possible. It wouldnt be a long shot at all. We'd have to finish 2 or 3 games under .500 and we'd probably get the 7th or 8th seed..And Iversonfan, how would Salmons benefit more in Pheonix? He isnt a shooter, and he is an iso guy, not a guy that thrives off passes. I dont think it would work out in Phoenix. He would definately post better numbers in Toronto then Pheonix..And I like Salmons because he'd be able to give us an offensive boost off the bench. He averaged 7 ppg off the bench for the Sixers, so Im expecting 7-9 for us because he is still only 26 as well...

Salmons would fit better in Phoenix simply because of his ballhandling skills and his relentless penetration to the rim. He'd fit in well in their up-tempo game as well as PHX's half-court game (which is pretty much equivalent to most team's fastbreak game).Honestly, it really depends on what kind of mentality Johnny has that night. Some nights he's attacking the basket every time he touches the ball, and some nights he just stands outside and shoots jumpers. The biggest thing that bugged me with him last year was his inconsistency... if he can be consistent, and is put in the right situation, he will flourish. However, at this point he is nothing special, and unless he somehow finds that consistency north of the border, I don't see much changing for him.

If he played how he did when he had a good night, I would love to have kept him. But it wasnt the case.

I think he should have picked the Suns, because he would have gotten a chance at a title. Also Nash would have made him better. But I understand why he went to Toronto to get to play more, and the extra cash of course.
