Due to the guys on the radio, it seems like a foregone conclusion that Paxson is taking Derrick Rose.

They were saying that the Bulls are going to make a big push for Elton Brand. The trade would probably be Hinrich and Thomas/Gooden for Brand.

Does Brand want to come back? Can he come back from his injury to his previous level of play?

If that's the deal Pax is considering, I'd rather keep Gooden and play him at C.

Also, Gordon/Deng probably aren't going to agree to go to a team that will be crappy (like in the Sonics trade).

I think Gordon/Deng are pretty much close to locks for being on this team. Neither probably wants to go anymore, both would look great next to Derrick Rose.

Kirk Hinrich seems to be headed out of town though.

    The Miami Herald -
Even before Chicago landed the first overall pick in the draft at Tuesday night's lottery, it appeared as though the team was looking to trade point guard Kirk Hinrich, according to The Miami Herald.

It's believed that the Bulls will draft Derrick Rose while looking to deal current point guard Hinrich.

The Heat are one of the teams that could be interested in Hinrich's services as they covet an above-average passer.</div>

Hinrich to Miami for Marion I'd assume. Nocioni going with him too maybe?

I thought Gordon and Deng's contracts were already expired. They were expiring contracts, but the bulls didn't trade them at the trade deadline. I think the only way they can be traded now is in a sign and trade, and that would mean Phoenix would have to take on quite a bit more salary.

They're restricted free agents; they can be signed to QO's for one year

They have to agree to be signed to a QO for one year, and the QOs are really cheap compared to what they are expected to make. Usually they will look for as many deals as they can and hold out as logn as they can before signing a QO.

And if they sign the QO's, they get veto power on trades for next year as well.

Gooden's awesome. I'm still shocked the Cavs gave him up like that. If I were the GM, I would not have included him in that trade.

    So, Rose it is?

Well, PER isn't the end-all stat. When you look at the PPG/RPG numbers, Noah and Thomas are a lot weaker. At the PF position, I think those numbers mean a lot more than PER.

The PER implies, - Hinrich and Duhon are huge liabilities.
    - Gooden, Deng, and Thomas are the best Bulls players.

Thomas is a 5PPG/5RPG type guy. Woot!
