A judge has ordered former NFL wide receiver Sam Hurd jailed indefinitely for allegedly failing drug tests and attempting to arrange a drug deal while out on bond facing charges of trying to start a marijuana and cocaine distribution network.

Hurd's bond was revoked by U.S. Magistrate Jeff Kaplan on Tuesday during a hearing attended by former teammate Marion Barber and several family members.

Hurd was arrested last December and immediately cut by the Chicago Bears.
