That's cruel to all sides involved: Mitchell, Kevin Durant and the OKC fans. At least the Sonics fans would be sorta happy.
Mitchell to OK City would make my fuckin day, and I used to be a bigger Sonics fan then a Raptors fan.
The arrogance from Mitchell was just on another level entirely lately. I don't know if you guys regularly tune into his interviews on the FAN's morning show, but he'd actually been pissing off the hosts with how unnecessarily hostile and dickish he was being. This morning he tried to clean himself of last night's loss by arguing that "the players have to polic themselves."
This doesn't fix the massive problems with our roster and I doubt it totally saves our season, but fuckit I'm really happy right now.
Honestly, I think the only time I supported keeping Mitchell was the summer we had to re-sign Bosh and I figured his relationship with Smitch would convince him to stay. I think its pretty damn sad that, over 4 years, that's the best argument I could come up with for Sam.
I have an exam tomorrow, and if it wasn't for this firing, it would have overloaded on communication studies. Thank god.
If they bring in the right coach, yes. I mean, all Sam did was x's and o's and he didn't do that well. He was a great motivator and he did a lot of good things. But the guy cannot make the proper decisions that it takes to win championships. Like, look at Doc Rivers. The dude isn't that much better than Sam, but he is still a better coach you will agree. He also has a better team, but still. Toronto has a lot of problems on the court, but you need a guy who will hold you down off the court. A good coach with a good defensive mentality is something this team has never had. It's about time we did.
There are tons of them all over. I'll post some really good ones tomorrow when I have more time. I'll make a thread and you guys can laugh at all the hilarious situations SMtich will be put in.
