    i was a sam supporter but i look forward to a new era and the new enthusiasm that should accompany this change. bc's going with the sink or swim tactic by keeping triano. this season is not the be all and end all and he's ready to sacrifice it for the good of change. that makes me happy.

    it will be extremely interesting to see how the canada's first nba head coach does. interest and support for the team should increase, even if they do struggle.

    next is the evaluation period while Brian continues to work the phones. interesting times.

    With the Mitchell firing. I just noticed every team I follow have changed their coach/manager this year in 2008.

    Toronto FC: Mo Johnston - John Carver
    Toronto Blue Jays: John Gibbons - Cito Gaston
    Winnipeg Blue Bombers: Doug Berry - Mike Kelly
    Toronto Raptors: Sam Mitchell - Jay Triano
    Oakland Raiders - Lane Kiffin - Tom Cable

    What a bad year.

    Edit: I've been following the Senators for a few weeks now and they have a new coach this year too. =/
