<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Kinda going off topic here, but IMO the move that ended the Magic's season was the Mobley trade. Christie just couldn't provide the offense that Cuttino was able to and the trade eventually caused Stevie to be mad at the whole franchise, which led to the firing of Johnny Davis, when then slammed the door shut on the Magic. I do have high hopes for them next year though, if Howard can develop into a 18/12 monster and Francis can re-dedicate himself. That is, though, if he doesn't get traded this summer.</div>
Still off topic- Yeah I have no clue why they would trade Mobley for an aging Doug Christie. It didn't make any sense to me whatsoever. The only aspect that Christie is better in is that he is a better defender, which wouldn't really help Orlando all that much anyways. Plus, Mobley and Francis were huge pals which got Francis to lose all the motivation that he had- ending up with the down spiral of the Magic. Good move.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting dakeem1:</div><div class="quote_post">Hahaha, lets not go there. Magic aren't THAT bad. They've done better than last year, so technically they benefitted from the trade, but not as well as us. Plus they had they're Shaq/Penny glory days, so they're not all THAT bad. Like I said, I have a soft spot for the team.</div>

I think Drafting Dwight Howard, the signing of Hedo Turkoglu, and the Return of Grant Hill Helped them alot. I wonder how well the trade would of been if the Magic had the same roster of the 2003-2004 season.

One thing's for sure, either way, we won't be as good as we were this season. If we hadn't done the TMac trade, I wouldn't think that we would be able to trade away Taylor, get Barry and James, and getting David Wesley wouldn't be a move that we consider. McGrady was able to bring consistency and scoring to the team, and his defense is still vastly underrated. I can't wait for next season with the possible additions of Spanoulis and Badiane and the definite help that will come at the four via the draft or the free agent signing period.

I agree, cat leaving was the stupidist thing they could do.

Hey, maybe we can sign cat back and then with francis worthless right now, we can make a trade to reaquire him. I know a million reasons it is impossible, but its a possibility.
