They could. Which tells you how much the Seahawks have fallen. Barely beating the lowly Niners in Seattle? Yikes. They dropped off quick.
I think they are going to win some. They have a good coach in Shanahan. They have a solid defense. Their offense needs to get its act together. Hyde is going to run in a lot of Tds this year. It was a close game. They nearly beat the seahawks...nearly
having not seen a single play, my question would be...did they dumb down the offense and play conservatively b/c the Niners weren't going to score against the Seahawks D? Last week there were very few plays downfield...it was as if Pete and the Gang were saying "meh, we're ok with 3 and outs b/c we'll hold you under 14." Obvs that didn't work against Aaron Rodgers (esp. when you fumble at the 6) but the playbook was NOT opened up much last week. And when you factor in the lack of use of Lockett and Richardson's speed and RW being able to throw a decent deep ball... Then again, b/c I wrote this someone's probably going to chime in that Wilson went 0-15 on deep balls today.
I said in the 4th quarter, when the 49ers were up 9-6, that they'd end up losing on a play where Russell Wilson runs around, evades 3 tacklers and heaves the ball into the endzone as he's going down to the ground, it would bounce off a 49ers hands into the arms of a Seattle receiver. Wilson always seems to pull some such shit out of his ass every time. And it happened almost exactly like that, except for it being tipped off a 49er.
