If that's a legit picture, I'll eat my hat. They had to have thinned her up a bit in the mid-section. Not that she's Rosie O'donnell (I just threw up in my mouth, and brain), but she's not that skinny.
Let me re-phrase that: Newsweek has attempted to somehow portray Palin as cutesy on the cover of their (liberal) "news" magazine.
Somehow portray her as cutesy? It would be a Herculean effort to portay her as anything but cutesy. barfo
To be fair, I couldn't articulate the "Bush Doctrine" was/is. Pre-emption? Ignoring territorial boundaries to hunt terrorists down? I wasn't aware his ideas were ever explicitly state, as were Monroe's and Truman's. As for being able to see Russia from Alaska, you can actually do it. You can see one Diomede from the other. Her answer was in response to her foreign policy experience as Governor. It was an awkward way of saying that the Alaskan National Guard (which she oversaw) was part of the front line forces against Russia. It was a stupid answer to a gotcha question. I don't recall many journalists digging down on President Obama's foreign policy experience, however.

If she had "balls" she'd go on real journalism programs like Charlie Rose, 60 Minutes, This Week, Meet the Press, etc., like politicians (from both parties) with balls actually do. The toughest interviews I've ever seen of her were by Oprah Winfrey and Katey Couric. I'm no fan of Newt Gingrich or John McCain or Mit Romney, but those are guys with real balls because they not only go on the tough programs, they can at times dominate them with their intellect and personality.
