It was molten. Look at the black stuff on the end of the structure. It was melted at one point in time. Weakened steel doesn't look like that. Also, it happens here real time.
I believe it is all together possible that our government recieved intel, knew the attack was going to happen, allowed it to happen, and used it as an oppurtunity to further their own means, whether to destroy damning information held within main frames in the towers and pentagon, as a means of population control, etc.

There you go with thermite. But the amount of thermite needed to melt the columns would have required giant barrels of it strapped to the outside of the WTC. Then you claim explosions because of wisps of smoke. First, look up what scuppers are and what they do. I'm sure some of the guys in the forum who were in the Navy would be happy to explain them to you. Then charred ends of metal. So what building was that from? What part of the building was it? When was it excavated? How much debris fell on it? What was burning and for how long? How did they get the steel that collapsed to the ground into pieces big enough to fit on trucks to be hauled out of there? I bet some were cut with... with... hmmm.... what would you use to cut thru large pieces of metal like that? I wonder what they would look like?
I can think of a lot easier ways of destroying some computers or killing a few thousand people. So we went to all that trouble just to invade Afghanistan? Seems like all we would have had to do is say they had some yellow cake. Worked just fine with Iraq.
