Uhhh, noo were near as good as Dame?

Don't even entertain the idea. Whoever does, I lose respect for.

Who I want to say goodbye to

    Neil
    Terry
    CJ
    Meyers
    ET
    Bazz
    Pat
    Layman
    Swanigan
    Papagiannis
    Wilcox

Then figure out if Collins is a PF....(which he is) or the great white hope of the future.

If they make the mistake of thinking he is a WABC, then Nurk should go too.

    Collins has the better contract

I agree in as much as Terry never figured out how to position the P/R to create a passing lane from the ball to the screen once they doubled. But I disagree, because if that pass gets made successfully they'd at least have to guard Love, which would mean it's a trap and recover rather than a hard trap, leaving Dame with a single defender on him.

    I'd keep Pat for $4m.

This is why Pat doesn't "need" to go. He's a good value roster spot for his contract at a minimum, and a useful player as needed.

    Precisely.
And players like Layman don't even register on the thought radar.

Pat averaged 4 ppg in 15 mpg in the playoffs. 20% from 3. We really needed scoring out of him and he gave us nothing. Jake Layman couldn't have been worse. I'm ready to move on from Pat. He does lots of little things that help the team but if he can't score, he's ultimately a liability.

If the only way to get Kawhi was to trade Dame and keep CJ you wouldn’t do it?

If CJ is gone, it's because they traded him for Kawhi, or significant other talent that's not a SG. And that player would be a starter.

Which is pretty much a sideways move; who’s our starting SG then?

For one year? His attitude was not exactly encouraging this year. I doubt he would be happy in Portland. I would certainly trade for him, but not for Dame.

Nope. Kawhi leaves in a year in that case.
