Hasn't anyone from Portland won the world series of poker ever? Or Cake Wars or something? Means as much.
Should have asked him if he was still pissed about Ainge trading away the washed up Pierce and KG for Brooklyn's future.
Yep. If the Timbers score than FCD would need to win by 3, a +2 for FCD would result in a shootout. If the timbers score 2 goals FCD would have to win by 3, a draw would result in the Timbers advancing. It's definitely looking good!

If we want to be technical, the Hillsboro Hops are a professional team. (They are deemed professionals once they reach Single A.) And they won back to back championships. Sorry, Timbers. Not impressed. #someonesgottatrollthetimbers
Yeah. And technically, Portland couldn't even keep a single A team, or a Triple A team (several as a matter of fact.) Listen, I realize that to most people the MLS is the Golden Globes of pro sports. But I'd rather celebrate a "cupcake championship" than none at all. The odds of something more significant happening in Oregon.... are well, absolute dick!
Portland was actually lucky to make it this far. Adi is our only decent scorer (if hes healthy) and Porter's boring counterattack (see Chelsea) BS doesn't work much of the time. The reason for the late season spurt was getting rid of Johnson and making Chara the single holding mid. We still lose the ball much of the time..... I don't see us winning, but at least we got there.
I thought the Sounders won or participated in MLS Championship? Anyway...I'm SO FUCKING STOKED!!!! I wasn't sure if I'd ever see this team live up to the potential I thought they had. They were SO FRUSTRATING this season but to see them put it all together at the right time has been very satisfying!
