The impending disaster was the "voodoo economics" guy that followed, and we enjoyed the economic gains via private investment throughout the Clinton years.

As good as the Clinton+republican congress economy was in the 90s, it ended with the most massive market crash and loss of individuals' wealth since the Great Depression.

2008. Democrats took over in 2006 and sabotaged things. We saw it in the 1980s, and then again in the 2000s.

In no way, shape, or form, should the government have been encouraging banks to make horrible loans, in quantity, with the governmet guaranteeing their losses would be covered.

yet the regulations imposed that would avert any such thing under Obama have been targeted for repeal or already repealed under trump and republicans. think massive consolidation of wealth whenever one reads downturn, recession correction and like euphemisms.

    so
isn't the security exchange commission under the department of commerce, and weren't they responsible for monitoring derivatives trading, and isn't that agency a cabinet appointment that oversaw the meltdown of the too big to fail banks. weren't the tools in place pre dodd frank to avert the banking disaster? if not why on earth is trump undoing them?

It required an act of congress. Democrats blocked it from getting out of committee. They wanted poor people to have homes, which is a nice ideal, but the unintended consequences were brutal.

O'Reilly is a tool, but he got this "I'm as mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore" moment perfectly.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Look at the spelling Nazi, worshipping at his altar of spelling.

Side note: "worshipping" was underlined as misspelled which confused the hell out of me. Apparently, "worshipping" is the British spelling and "worshiping" is the American spelling? I had no idea--I don't think I've ever seen "worshiping." I don't live in Britain. I did read a lot of Enid Blyton as a kid, though.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
It's either the very definition of comedy or, as I said earlier, a country song. Who you going to believe, me or Seth Rogan? We're both experts in our fields.

Seth Rogen is the guy from "She thinks my Tractor is sexy" right?

Oh, and it's Rogen with an "e" (I owe you a spelling mistake fix).
