im really curious if hes gonna play fast all the time and take questionable shoots (like westbrook), which is how hes been playing so far or hes gonna be able to get himself under control going forward hes athletic and hes relying on that too much, which isnt necessarily a bad thing right now, cause he doesnt have a reliable jumper
I wonder if teams are playing off Scoot more than RW and DR. Those two weren't good 3pt shooters, but they could shoot about 30%. Scoot's shot is coming around more, but he was under 10% much of the season. I think he'll get more "blow bys" respect his shot.
last night he was 5/12 on two pointers (i dont know how many layups he missed, but i do remember two badly missed layups) once he cleans that up, his scoring numbers will bump, which will obviously make him look better (lets say he makes those two layups, thats 21 pts game, which looks better than 17 pts game) but im guessing there were more missed layups, i dont think he took five mid range shots
He’s slowed down recently and been more tactical about hitting turbo, that’s why he’s played better recently.
19 years old, only 20 games played im more optimistic now than i was at the beginning of the season (it sounds ridiculous, but thats how terrible he was), i needed scoot to give me some encouraging signs and he did
Giannis...maybe it's a quibble, but Scoot didn't do it either. 75 feet would have been him getting the ball inside of the 3 point line. He got it about halfway between the 3 point line and halfcourt so it was really around 60 feet
One of them looked like a clear foul. The dude blocked his shot from behind while basically coming down on his back. I don't see how that wasn't a foul.
once he (hopefully) sorts that out, he will add quite a few points to his avg in the meantime, he should keep trying and stay being aggressive
11 assists in 28 minutes with only 1 turnover. A season high in assists, and a season best for assist-turnover ratio.
Scoot's free-throw percentage is at 79.6% for the season, 85.3% for the month of December. 3-point shooting is 30% so far in December, which I think is about what most people expected. It's the 2-point shooting that is lagging so hopefully there will be an improvement there in the next couple months.

Players with a game of at least 17 points and 11 assists and no more than 1 turnover at age 19 (all time): Marbury Luka (twice) LaMelo Booker Scoot He was slowed down by summer league and regular season injuries but Scoot’s going to be a star. He’s already one of the best young point guards ever.
