He's a role player.... which is what I expected him to be. Anyone who wanted to draft him over Shae is being proven wrong.

Don't know if this is true, but it would be an interesting factoid.

look at all those passing lanes that open up when defenders start playing him for the shot.

to me, the most glaringly obvious things he has to work on are:
    1. finishing around the hoop.
    2. shooting off the dribble.
    3. going left.

he's gonna be unstoppable with his passing/creation once he figures out how to score. what i loved most about him in the GLeague was his willingness to pass. a true PG.

In game 17 (compared to game #20 for Scoot), Dame had a 24/11/6 game with 6 turnovers....at age 22.

It would seem Mr. Henderson is on a decent track with PLENTY of time to improve.

Still December and I am pretty sure he is not a "bust" anymore. Lol, he can be in ROY talks in March. He will be probably.

Clyde Drexler's closest was 21 points with 6 rebounds and 2 assists in game 63 as a 21-year-old rookie.

Really like the progress we are seeing out of Scoot. He seems to let the game come more to him and isn't playing so frantically like the first 10 games. Seems he's gotten those early game jitters out. His 3 point shot of late has been a nice surprise too, wonder if he has been putting in a lot of work on his shot, if so it shows. We just all have to be patient with Scoot, right now he looks every bit worthy of the #3 selection, but he is young and is going to have his ups and downs, he'll have more downs this year I am sure, we just gotta be patient. My main criticism I have that he still needs to really work on is the fouling, he is still a fouling machine.

Now that Scoot is taking and making some 3's he is seeing a much more open court. Defenses have to guard his shot now. Next progression might take a full season. He needs to work on finishing left. When (yes I said WHEN) he does that he will be one of the best PG's in the league.
Get ready everyone because this guy will be fun to watch hopefully for a very long time.

I left that out of my post. Yes he has been fouling. Kind of think that is to be expected from a rookie. I do see he is working in games on this. He obviously is doing more talking to the refs and Chauncey is coaching him on the sidelines quite a bit when he gets a cheap foul.

Said this at beginning of the year the game just had to slow down for him. His pace in this game is excellent.

We are going to have some tough choices soon, to me he’s the ideal PG he can score but what he does that we haven’t had since Rod Strickland is he makes the game so much easier for his teammates. Guys are going to want to play with him he’s going to have the Steve Nash Jason Kidd effect on teammates. What I mean by that is guys like Walker are going to look better than they are by simply playing with A pg that creates easy scoring opportunities.

back to the dilemma Ant Shae and Scoot….. ugh makes my brain hurt. Someone ain’t going to be happy coming off the bench. I love Ant but I would rather have Scoot and Sharpe as my starting guards, maybe hope Sharpe grows a little into a SF but not likely

I don't believe there is a single answer.

Short-term, I'd go with Ant/Sharpe the Scoot coming off the bench. Long-term, if Scoot progresses like I believe he will (based on the progress seen thus far), I'd go with a Scoot/Sharpe combo.

Perhaps by the time we are ready for the Scoot/Sharpe combo, there will be a trade that makes sense in which we give up Ant for someone else.

I guess what I don't get, is the fear of being wrong. Who cares? I choose to believe in a player until all doubt is removed of his inability to rise to the next level. Is there some prize for being right about a player being not good?

And before someone asks....the prize for supporting before proof is existing..... is a personal place of positive, rather than negative.... until such questions are answered. Simple, really.
