Majority of voters are going to have to vote to pay for some of it.

If they are able to figure that out by allocating arena related revenue then that's great.

But the city and state are going to have to play ball. If they aren't willing to then we probably don't deserve to keep a team.

He hasn't had the opportunity, IMO. Not consistently.

When in the 30ish games he's gotten the opportunity he's looked good.

And I just watched THIS game against Toronto and I truly believe we are going to miss Ant’s ability to hit some HUGE shots down the stretch.

Preference doesn't equal requirement. Seems you are looking at his statement with a glass half empty mindset. I see it as glass half full.
Combine what Tom said and what Tom hS done,

50/50 doesn't evenseem close to me. More like 80/20.

    paranoia will destroya.

You wouldn't have to run him at PG per say, but it would be very easy to have our guards bring up the ball then immediately slide it to Deni (after he receives a pindown screen)
to put him in pick and roll/pop situations. This is sound offensive planning IMO.

I think we'll see Deni do way more shooting and taking over in those situations.

Would you consider him our first option now?

He is their first option. Whether or not he's the first option once/if they're a competing team, is a different thing.

The reason why Deni probably is a better #1 than Ant is, Deni does far more in the game than Ant ever did. He's significantly better at rebounding, he's a better passer, better at getting to the hoop, and better at taking advantage of his opponents. He gets to the free throw line almost twice as much as Simons did too.

And most importantly, he's a significantly better defender than Simons ever was, which is saying a lot because it's not like Deni is a defensive stalwart.

We will miss Ant’s ability to heat up down the stretch of a tight game. Guy got big buckets for us regardless of how people feel about his overall game.

I don't think anybody denies Ant's ability to get hot and hit tough shots at times.

He just doesn't do it often enough to overshadow his deficiencies and he doesn't make his teammates better.

His "ability" to heat up is very overstated tho. He also had moments where he got burned on defense (won't miss that) or just was there. He wasn't the most consistent on which Ant we got too.

I don’t think anybody denies Ant’s deficiencies, but those were covered by his teammates….. helping on defense is a lot easier than hitting huge shots in tight games. He will be missed for sure.

    Simons was Dame DollaStore.

You’d get the cheap knockoff equivalent of Dame for a fraction of the games.

I know how exactly what I'd do to put him in the best position to get the most out of his talent. He needs to receive the ball when he's on the move and receiving a closeout.
He DESTROYS in those situations whether it be him scoring or drawing and kicking to a teammate. He is our most consistent and efficient scorer. He plays both sides of the ball.
He's an AND 1 waiting to happen. Give him the keys and unleash him. I TRULY think he could be as good as Luka even better because he plays D and isn't a soft ass FLOPPER.

    Easily our best player.
