Something thrown out there by Sam Smith so you know it came out of his ass, but still something to think about.

Could this be Olshey's first Ol-shank?

Wow, even the chance of that happening would be great. He really showed his skills in the SA series.

Has there ever been a coach that won a title and the next year was coaching a different team?

None come to mind in the NBA, but I think it has happened in other sports. Didn't that happen to Jimmy Johnson after winning back to back superbowls?

Dunno why it hasn't. You win a title you can get at least 10m a year from some team hoping you can move their team over the hump.

He'll go from a title contending trio of Durant/Westbrook/Harden to....

    LaMarcus/Batum/....

Yeah, I don't see this happening.

We don't know what the relationship is between Brooks and management. None of us have a fucking clue if this is true or not. I wouldn't be shocked if this happened.

He's toast if Dwight Howard wants him gone. Or if Jay Leno wants his gig.

What do people see in Brooks? I suppose he has to get credit for the development of the young'uns on the Thunder, but I'm quite unimpressed with him in games.

Doesn't get the f*cking ball to Durant late, lets Westbrook have crappy possessions, will sabotage his own success by continually running PnRs with Perkins when Ibaka or Durant would clearly be better options. I don't claim to know that much about NBA coaching, but he does little in games that make me think hes any good at X's and O's, game management, or even taking advantage of matchups. Additionally, the Thunder are pretty extraordinary in that they're a contending team that really isn't good at moving the ball. Seems like they run a decent defensive scheme, but I reckon any team with Westbrook at the point of attack and Ibaka/Perkins in the paint is going to do well on that side of the ball.

Every player Brooks gets turns out better than expected. Whereas with McMillan, every player became worse than expected except Roy, and Batum's been a wash.

Didn't Phil Jackson leave after a Bulls championship? But not sure if he was coaching the next year.

He took a couple years off until the next read-made champion coaching position became available.

    Kind of...

Bill Sharman coached Utah to an ABA Championship in 1970-71 and then the Lakers to an NBA Championship the next season.

That's really the only situation I can think of where a coach won a championship and then immediately switched teams.
