I think journalists are some of the heros of the modern day....often on the front lines of world tragedy in harms way....when a president starts a war with the press, he's really just building a wall around the white house.....on our dime

You get journalists to keep their opinions in editorials and not regular articles and we'll listen. That ship has sailed.

I certainly hope it hasn't sailed...I want journalists questioning politicians.....and I want to see politicians held accountable...bullying is not holding them accountable and Trump is used to bullying his way out of trouble

Even though newspaper owners and editors have been used by politicians to sway the populace for centuries, I have to agree with @bodyman5000 and 1 on this one. I don't want to hear opinions from editors with agendas. I want the media to give an honest accounting of the facts regardless of what they might be and how badly they may make anyone look. It's not the job of newspapers to hold politicians accountable. It is the responsibility of the American citizen to hold politicians accountable. And we can't do that without the truth from the media. It is the responsibility of the editors to see that the truth is being represented fairly and that their journalists are held accountable for providing that truth. But as @bodyman5000 and 1 says (and my opening sentence paraphrases), that ship has sailed......but I must say that the rejection of Hillary Clinton, along with the worldwide events of yesterday aimed at Trump were an excellent start by the populace towards holding our politicians accountable.....

What does this prove? I didn't say he didn't have people at his innaguration... I just said using the metro ridership numbers is misleading... There was no Women's March after Obama's.

The pictures seem to show a bigger crowd than the 800,000 that attended Clinton's 1993 inauguration.

I counted all the people in the pictures for Trump's inauguration and stopped after reaching 22 million.

    Greatest gathering of people ever!

You might notice the people, or lack of them, toward the back. If you see wide open green spaces in some pictures but not others, the ones with the people there means MORE attended.

    No need to count.

Though the pictures do back up what I've said. The crowd looks like about 1/2 Obama's, or 900,000. The difference in the pictures between his crowd and Clinton's in 1993 clearly look like Trump had the bigger crowd. It's claimed Clinton had a crowd of 800,000.

Not hard to figure it out.

No matter how you slice and dice it, it's far more than the 10,000 Rasta claimed were going to show up the night before.

    So many invisible people

but honestly who cares?? Is this really what Trump wants to spend time on??? Jesus, start acting like a president and stop acting like a spoiled pouty My Sweet Sixteen star. Really your party was fabulous. No one was mocking you in the bathroom. Just go drive your car and quit crying or your mascara will run.

Seems like getting half as many people is pretty pathetic, but hey, spin away.
