So, I guess that makes Festus Ezeli that Golden State guy and Evan Turner that Boston guy, at least until they start playing games for the Blazers. BNM
If you're just going to mindlessly throw out the names of random former Oregon college players with absolutely no broadcast experience or other qualifications, where's the love for Luke Ridnour and Freddy Jones? At least they have some actual significant NBA experience to draw from in their commentary. BNM
Different stages of their career/life. Calabro vs Barry/Smith. I think Calabro is a unique situation (lucky for us).
his tweet above it says for those commenting about the Blue Moon...his homebrew isn't ready yet #portlandia...I thought that was cool.
Festus is all about Portland on Twitter talking to the fans and trying local restaurants, and I'm sure Evan Turner has done some stuff on Instragram by now (I don't have one so idk for sure).
As far as vocal chords go it would be funny to have Crash do commentary....Gerald Wallace talks like Barry White
With millercoors and anheuser busch merging, there will no longer be craft brews. They will be priced out and/or bought out. 10 barrel is my favorite and they got bought ought. Meh.
I'll be honest. I started following Calabro the day we found out he was headed our way. Not that it's his responsibility, but he hasn't really said much about the city or team if anything. Maybe once the season gets closer he will. Also, didn't really dig, but maybe he's not a big twitter guy.
I like Calabro...I'm sure he's got a lot to organize settling into his new job and probably looking for a home as well....he'll have plenty to talk about soon enough..I just hope he picks a top notch side kick...
yeah I saw this last night and thought it was a done deal. Thought it was weird though how it was just a small foot note and not a headliner
