Speaking of Bill Murray, did you know he was offered the role of Forrest Gump before Tom Hanks. It was first offered to John Travolta, then Murray, then Chevy Chase...then finally Tom Hanks. Thank God none of them excepted before Hanks, it would have sucked
While Tom Hanks was great, I think Bill would have made it a winner too. Travolta though? LMAO!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA, And I am a Fletch fan , but Chevy Chase was ten years removed from anything good by then also, so he would have surely bombed.
Travolta would have been revolting, I cant picture him or Chevy Chase as Forrest Gump. I'm trying to picture Murray, but I just can't really see him doing it. No one else would have won the best actor Oscar for the role, nor would it have been a good movie.
I see Murray giving the role the "What About Bob" spin, which would have totally ruined the film. Hanks was perfect for the role.
The guy who would have been a great Gump is Billy Bob Thornton...he'd have nailed it...Hanks was great but Thornton does dumb better than anybody and he's actually from Arkansas...Slingblade
It's OSU commentator Lamar Hurd....not a bad choice...I was thrilled to see they're in negotiations with Brian Grant to work with Wheels later in the season
Nor can I find it on a google search. Trolling are we? On the side.. @riverman .. Doesn't it feel like we have set up tents to buy tickets to tomorrows game and the line goes around the building? Open the gates already!!!!
I checked out Hurd's work and I like the guy...I'm not at all bummed about him with Calabro...they've co broadcasted many Pac 12 games together
Ok. My question is this... Why did we wait this long? Something tells me they were first targeting PJ but had to wait until he was ready to talk. They talked and couldn't come to terms. Enter Lamar Hurd. If this is the case, boy did the Blazers accidentally get lucky!!!
