If an NFL game in the modern era ends in a 0-0 tie, it'll ACTUALLY end with a riot.

MLS is going to be huge. It's just a matter of time. I'm a season ticket holder and I love it.

Much better, Wheels and thank you for asking. Also, thanks for chiming in on the soccer stuff. I've become a full convert. Not just MLS, either. I love it all. Became a Bayern fan after WC and their trip to PDX for AS Weekend (which was a fucking BLAST, the city KILLED it!). And I don't feel bad for the bandwagon jumping. I'm a 100% soccer hating convert - I can choose who I want now that I've seen the light haha....

Yeah, down here in Southern Oregon every likes the Niners and Raiders, no rivalry with Northern California. Half of the people here are from there, so there are a crapload of Warrior and some King fans anyway, and they're all cool. Everyone likes to laugh at the Seahawks, and has for years, even though they're good now.

MLS attendance is on the rise (already bringing in more fans per game than NBA and Baseball) and it's expanding (NY and Orlando this year) which brings in more TV money which raises the salary cap which brings in better players which, again, raises popularity. They're doing a great job of growing and they've got a lot of people's attention, including ESPN.....

The only bad thing is I'll have trouble affording my season tix if things keep going like they are.

They say that about a lot of things. Awesome, you're gaining in popularity, you'll stop at some point and no one will care.

Look at mma, it was the fastest growing sport and now it's stagnant. All the tapout douches got bored. Eventually the hipsters will be no more and soccer will go back to what it is in merica'

I was only being tongue in cheek about Immigration. But there is truth to many children in families where they come from, and Soccer is #1 with them. This is also the first generation that grew up in this country with a stable soccer league to follow through their youth. IMO that contributes to growth as well. These kids who grew up watching Soccer, now have kids, who they are showing Soccer to. Time and generations watching the sport.

One other thing thing that works in favor of Soccer growing in the US IMO, is when its played. Right now MLS is played in Summer, and avoids a good portion of NFL, NBA, and College Football (only some overlap) Its direct competition is MLB and Nascar maybe?

Glad to hear things are better! And glad you saw the light :) I remember you seeing the light around 2010 World Cup. And yes Portland killed for the All Star Game. Awesome what can happen when a city and community, and a club are all working towards the same goal.

Now if we could get you to see the light on College Football team to support :p *RUNS FOR COVER*
