We can cut minutes from everyone not named Vlad, Danny Fortson, Nick Collison, or Jerome James. Luke, Antonio, and Ray can all get some minutes taken from them (I'd prefer for Antonio to get the most reduced), Rashard could lose a minute or two here to get a three guard line up, and Reggie Evans could sit also when we go small. Lewis is capable of guarding some four men so I'm wondering if we could exploit those mismatches by putting a line up like Ridnour, Flip, Allen, Shard, and Fortson on the floor for small stretches.

    Possible line ups w/ Flip

    Flip----AD/LR----AD/LR----AD/LR-----Flip------Flip
    Ray--- Flip-------Flip------Flip-------Ray------Ray
    Shard--Shard----Shard----Ray-------Shard----Vlad
    Evans--Evans----Vlad-----RL/VR-----VD/NC----RE/NC
    James--James----JJ/DF----Fortson---Fortson--Fortson......etc.

These are just some of the line ups that we could use to get Flip 25+ minutes. As long as Ray gets 38+, Shard gets 36+, and everyone else plays within 3 minutes of what they had played earlier I can definitely see Flip getting his 25 minutes. And w/ those minutes I definitely see our team improving.

    Like Flip much? [IMG]

Anyway, I don't think you can take 3 minutes here, 5 minutes there for the kind of player Flip is - he can't be point, then SG, then play the 3, I don't think. Not on this team. See Radmanovic for how important a defined role is to being a productive player.

Flip to me is a 2, that's it. He needs 25 minutes at the 2. Or a team where they need a shooting 1.
