    Well, you were half right.

Another day, another embarrassing defensive performance by Seattle, who didn't make a trade on deadline day despite numerous rumours.

The Sonics gave up 112 points to a notoriously poor scoring Philadelphia to mark the post All-Star run with a familiar loss to an Eastern team. Apart from All Star Ray Allen, who posted 31 points, 11 rebounds and four assists, and Flip Murray who had 14 off the bench, consistent contributions were rare for the Sonics.

Might as well start tanking now, you're not gonna make the playoffs with so many home losses to mediocre teams. Someone else can write a recap if they like, I'm too frustrated.

Like Dez was sayin' to me earlier..it's beyond comprehension that a Nate coached squad would play defense(or not play defense)like they did. I pity these cats in practice...embarrasing game for the Sonics.

The only recap you need is this...

    - Sonics have no defense

    - Ray Allen keeps the team from getting blown out

    - Team continued to shoot 3's even though they missed 2/3 of their attempts.

    - Sonics lost by 11 to the Sixers

    Embarrassing.

YALL said Philly couldnt win they had a pretty good game dalembart played up to his potential with 8 points 11 rebounds and 5 blocks thats a pretty good time he was in foul trouble also Iverson dropped 40 and 11 Bigg Dogg had 20 points in the first half he ended the game with 26 so this was a very good game for the sixers

Wow, sorry Sonic fans, that was reminiscent of watching my beloved Clippers play the old matador D. Gotta give Philly credit though, AI did what he always does, Dalembert tore apart the Sonics front line and the Big Dogg actually lived up to his bark for once in the month of February. It's painfully apparent that this team will not win consistently without a legit inside player. I've wondered why Reggie Evans isn't getting any PT this year, I know he's not the biggest guy, but he boards like crazy! I also know this may be a bit inflated, but he does rack up 5 RPG in 16 MPG, which equals 15 per 48...Nate is going to be in dangerous waters if things don't start to get better.

Reggie is one of those guys who, if you give more minutes, he will get you 10 boards no question. His problem is he's quite short, has short arms and not much of a vertical, so he struggles to defend bigger power forwards for extended periods and he struggles to get his shot off in the paint. That said, I often wish we could give guys like Lewis and Radmanovic his heart, aggression and intensity, because it is admirable the way he goes about his work.
