HAAK72 must be the Night King, because he dragged this thread back from the long-dead.

Telfair, Darius Miles and Meyers Leonard are the trifecta of shattered dreams I distract myself with while trying not to think about Greg Oden, Kevin Durant or Brandon Roy.

    Shit, I mentioned them.....so...much...pain....HHRNNNNNGHH.....

    That's better.

Man, Telfair disappointed. Wow, can't believe how he failed to make "the jump."

I used to be such a big Telfair fanboy.

How disappointing. But he did turn into the pick that became BRoy, so it wasn't all bad.

I remember listening to the radio broadcast of that draft and Rice was annoyed that we took Telfair over Al Jefferson. Maybe he knows a bit more about these guys than I do/did.

Hell, even Darius Miles was upset about that.

Shit he's the reason we didn't draft Darren Williams and CP3! At least we had Martell for awhile.

...rather than create another Telfair thread, why not put this article right here where it belongs?! :dunno: http://www.sportstwo.com/posts/4241394/

I was never on board with Telfair, but I remember thinking that we had drafted a 10+ year backcourt in '05 with Jack and Webster. So, so wrong...

I was always a bit suspect of his hype. Especially after seeing film that he couldn't shoot the ball. Had great playground handles and jelly on the donut, but couldn't do the basics. I knew that spelled trouble for the other players attitudes toward him.

Then, we started passing on superior talent to keep him (Deron Williams and Chris Paul) and I guessed we were in trouble.

Sad to see him in trouble. Hoping he figures out life after basketball.
