I hope that you are kidding Pacersfan. Lamar is undersized for a PF and he can bang with them downlow pretty good. If you are calling him soft for playing on the perimeter alot, that is a very unfair thing to do. He is very good out on the perimeter. He can shoot the 3 ball, and when the player comes out on him, he can get to the basket. He doesn't force shots from 3 point range like Rashard Lewis does. And Rashard doesn't back down his defender like Lamar either. He like to back down and fade away from the basket and put up a jumpshot. Now I am not blaming the guy, because he is good at it, but Lamar Odom is NOT soft. He is smart and versatile.

He's not undersized (6'10"). He has passing, rebounding, range, versatility. What does he do? 18/9/5 every night. Not bad at all, but then you realize he's living off of Kobe scoring-wise. I like Odom, no doubt, but he is the softest guy in the league.
Lamar lives off of Kobe? You have got to be kidding me man. Lamar Odom takes a back seat to Kobe...If Lamar was a first option on a team, he would be putting up 23+ points per game...easy. Did you see him play when Kobe was hurt earlier this season? He was absoultley dominating. Rashard Lewis doesn't have limited skills. He can shoot very well from the outside, he is tall (which SHOULD allow him to post up and backdown his defender because he is a SF and he is being guarded by SF's....but he doesn't), he has a quick first step, and his mid range is good. BUT, he settles from the outside way too much. Rashard is the soft player....not Lamar. Lamar is a very smart player. When he is being guarded by a smaller player, he takes them inside, backs them down, and scores at will. Did you see the Lakers play the Suns last year in the playoffs? Lamar Odom absolutley dominated Shawn Marion, who is a VERY good defender. He knew that he was stronger than Marion, so he took him inside and dominated him. When he is being guarded by a bigger defender, he takes them outside, and either penetrates or shoots the mid range, or even the 3 ball. He can do it all.....Just because he is a PF and can play on the perimeter doesn't make him soft. It makes him versatile....

If Lamar Odom was a first option, he would for sure get 23+ a night. If you watched the Lakers play earlier on this season, you will know how dominant Odom was as a first option. He absolutley took over games in every aspect. He scored in bunches, rebounded the ball like crazy, and dished out great passes.Kobe didnt play in the first 3 games of the season, and Lamar scored 34, 22, and 28 points, and the Lakers won all 3 games. When Kobe came in the next game, Lamar only scored 11 points and the Lakers lost the game. This obviously shows that when Kobe is with him, his scoring numbers go down because he doesn't get as many touches and his shots are taken away. With him as the first scoring option for the first 3 games, he was averaging 28 ppg, he shot well over 50%, and the team won all 3 games. That shows how much you know about Lamar Odom....

Why I didnt notice that.....I thought that he missed the first 3. Well whatever, when Kobe was out he averaged 28 PPG and won both of the games.....Not too shabby for him being the first option. And even in the third game, the only reason Lamar had such a great game was because he made almost everything he shot. He didnt even get that many looks what so ever. He took 12 shots and made 7 of them. 4 of which were 3's. That kind of game isn't going to happen too often...especially when you have a guy like Kobe on your team
