The Blazers had worse problems than CJ's defense tonight. Most of the time the guy backing him up was on the court with him. At least most of the time that really counted. Not taking anything away from what Trent brings. Love watching him.

Yes, Portland is somehow behind Memphis. I guess Skip Bayless did some editing on this page.

    What a stupid post.

Manu was a hall of Famer and the 2nd or 3rd best player on multiple title winning teams, with a salary on a cap 10+ years ago.

Yeah, all of you who were saying that Whiteside sitting and his play before that was about an injured ego and not an injured hip should like this post... it'll have a lot of likes from people who were dead wrong. Please, seriously don't like this post if you thought Whiteside was actually injured. That shit all of you were saying was crazy presumptuous.

We would be inching closer and closer to the team we were before the bubble. No depth, minimal experience.

Wait... I think we're on the same page. Someone asked me what Manu made in regards to CJ being overpaid. I was saying that Manu was underpaid and far far better than CJ... not even close. I should have made clear how ridiculous I thought the comparison was instead of pointing out some of the ways Ginobili was better than CJ is.

So I admit I didn't read the whole game thread, I was working for most of the game, but were all of those fans who showed up after the Clippers game, also present for this one?

He certainly was. He also knew how to draw a foul and pass the ball.

So after reading some other posts I wanted to respond to you again. Ginobili was a two time all-star, future hall of famer and key contributor to 4 championships. His "sixth man" role was kinda funny because during his prime he played starter minutes 25-30, I know after so many seasons of Stotts that those don't seem like starter minutes but they are. If you were getting at what I think you were getting at, no I don't think we can afford to bring CJ's monster contract off the bench. Right now, I think that is the only logical move Stotts can make though (bringing CJ off the bench) however Stotts probably won't do that.

That is funny. We were just behind Memphis for a while there even though we had the better winning percentage and were a half game closer to the Lakers.

2:43 minutes of Damian Lillard highlights.

Trail Blazers' Damian Lillard scores 61 points in critical win over Mavericks

We can appreciate the greatness since he's on our team. Damn, I'd hate to play against this guy. 61 points. Back to back 50+ point games. Wow. Unstoppable.

Crazy game! A win is always good and like this group or not, pretty much every game in the bubble has been must win and we're 5-2. Every game competitive and Blazers often times demonstrated grit and toughness. If anything, we're building some character, which, I keep harping on it, but the regular season was void of any character. We were weak willed and non competitive. So, it's good to see a team I better recognize.

Tough game to judge, since it basically became the Brandon Roy..hrm...Damian Lillard show for the last 6 minutes or so. Iso after iso. I mean, that's not going to do diddly in the playoffs, but I can understand Lillard's mindset in a one off game and when he's in a zone. Hopefully, we can get back to a ball moving offense against Brooklyn. On the topic of Lillard, he's a bona fide superstar now. Not because Chuck and Bayless are talking about him or Paul George is picking fights with him, but because he's getting those superstar phantom calls now. If it's questionable, more often than not he's getting the benefit of doubt. That's kind of nice, although I could do without the histrionics. He plays it up a lot. Maybe because they're in desperation mode.
