The odds of us passing Dallas is not high with a healthy roster. Wouldn't you agree that resting Dame decreases those odds?
This. And when the playoff odds come out I can almost assure you the 7th seed Lakers will be more likely to win it all than the #4 Nuggets, #5 Mavs, and #6 Blazers combined.
According to this betting odds site, here are the odds as of right now after beating the Spurs: Blazers odds @5th 16.10%, @6th 51.90% @7th 30.80%, @8th 1.20% Lakers odds @5th 4.40%, @6th 30.90%, @7th 62.10%, @8th 2.40% Dallas @4th 0.20%, @5th 79.30%, @6th 16.70%, @7th 3.80% @8th 0.00% https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.actionnetwork.com/nba/nba-playoff-picture-standings-scenarios-projections-play-in-tournament-2021?amp=1
I just stated facts, he’s old. I wasn’t proven wrong. He didn’t become younger. In Finals, he needed 6 games to beat a 5 seed (in East) Miami team playing without Bam and Dragic. Sooooo impressive.
Sure but you have to rest him. He already said a couple months ago that once we clinch top 6, he’s resting.
Despite the way we've been playing. If the teams we have left to play that aren't the Rockets play the whole game and don't sit anyone and if LeBron is playing for the Lakers. We will find ourselves in the play-ins and I think Steph is going crazy right now so that will be a dangerous game and then we'll likely have to play the Grizz for the eighth seed. We just have to be prepared to either miss the playoffs all together or get absolutely handled by whoever we face in the first round.
He'll get a week of rest if we're the 6th seed. Which would you prefer: Dame with 1 weeks rest vs Denver or Dame with 2 weeks rest vs LAC? Dame could rest a year and we'd still be heavy underdogs vs the Clippers.
You do realize he’ll soon have to retire because he can’t play anymore, right? His man Wade (same draft class) is long retired. No one lasts forever in NBA. Maybe he could play 4 more years if he wants to come off the bench those last 2.
When you have to use that many IFs + ANDs, you're making a case for why we're more likely to finish 6th than 7th.
Dame with 2 weeks rest is best if you want to win title. If you can’t beat Clips, you can’t win title so who cares. But if we are set on winning title, we can’t have Dame exhausted in round 3, let alone round 4.
Yes, I assume at one time he will have to stop playing. He's averaging 25/8/8 ........so it's not anytime soon.
Reread what I said: The Lakers certainly will have better odds than the #4, #5, and #6 seeds in the West and probably better than all 3 combined. Probably better odds than ANY team in the West. That's how the odds are right now.
LeBron will play another four seasons if he wants to. Do you actually use your eyes when watching the game? The guy is still the best on the floor and he's still using his face up game like he's a back court player the majority of the time. When he starts to post up more, he'll find the game a lot easier. LeBron will decide when LeBron retires. His body isn't giving away, he's not Barkley. You'll have to deal with it. I think the Lakers are the favorites to win it until they are unseeded.
We have a 1% or less chance of winning a championship with this roster. I just want to win a series or a couple games in the series for our season to extend. Dame with 2 weeks rest vs the Clippers is 4-0 or 4-1. You can't win the title if you can't get out of the 1st round.
We just saw LeBrick play the Kings (without Fox or Barnes) and this happened: He hasn't even won a game with Drummond this season. They're not ready. If LeBron was healthy enough to help them win games, he would've played against us.
You're wasting your time bro. This dude last season said 'Bron was "old and washed up" and had nothing left or some crap. WHILE he's averaging 28/9/8 or something crazy in the playoffs. And HONESTLY believes what he types. You'd think after all this time I'd know better than to respond.
