Seems you are the biggest violator of Saud offense... and nothing you said above has anything to do with the sentiment I included in the 1st post. Unless you chose to be a fan of the Warriors the last 3 out of 4 years or you gravy train on Lebron reality is yes this is the best you can league. All sports leagues are, I kind of struggle to see how people dont understand that, unless it doesnt fir their vindictive narrative. People keep trotting out this 1 game separation stat without acknowledging the games Dame missed at the end which allowed them to slip to that gap, not to mention the absence of Harkless but convenient forgetfullness is a tool of biased narratives. Yeah we got swept, Dame was still slowed by the ankle that's not an excuse that's an observation from watching the games and we were without our starting SF. Its convenient to point out the injuries to Chris Paul and Griffin when talking about 2016, but apparently easy to forget out own injuries in regards to success in playoffs.
I’m pretty sure you missed my first post thanking you for this thread? What you are quoting was not for you.
Thank you Schilly….I agree with everything you said here and I'm glad to see you posting again....you're always sensible about these things...I like the direction we're heading....we've upgraded a couple of rotation positions and gotten some bench scoring...I'm optimistic about our 2nd, 3rd year guys progress...hopefully we'll be in the mix all season and find Layman's 3rd year to be better than Connaughton's last year....Baldwin's to be better than Bazz's and that Swanigan can develop into a guy who will replace Big Ed's rebounding and add some scoring...it's going to be an interesting season. We definitely added a ton of 3pt shooting to the bench...something we sorely lacked last season...riverman is a fan of positive affirmations..Go Blazers!
Umm... you have actually said that their titles dont mean much because of injuries and "luck". So I find this highly ironic.
This is really pathetic. Dismiss getting the third seed in the West because the Blazers were healthy (funny, seem to remember some injuries like Dame missing 9 games). Then, top it off with consistent whining about getting swept out of the first round, but refuse to recognize that injuries to Mo and ET were a big factor in that. Really tired of your shit.
Can we please be a little realistic? We have a star in Dame, a really good offensive player who is way below average on defense, and a C+ center. The rest of the roster ranges from projects to useful journeymen to dead weight. And can we please also cut the silliness about how this is one of the youngest teams in the league? Dame, CJ, Aminu, and Hark (4/5 of the starters) are vets. Collins is the only member of the rotation who is actually that young.
Much of what you say is true, but the whole 2nd youngest team argument is misguided. I am willing to bet we don't have the 2nd youngest ROTATION in the league. Who cares about the scrubs at the end of the bench? The players who are carrying the team are vets in their prime.
Stren I'd love to see you actually post your opinion to the OP for once instead of post your opinion about someone else's post.....seems you don't do that much if at all.....give it a shot...it's the purpose of these threads after all
actually I was sincere...not feisty at all...and I'm feeling ok....just fatigued as usual....they'll jumpstart my heart in 8 days so that's good news. It doesn't matter to me if someone is right or wrong about the team....I just enjoy that he puts his opinions out there. I thought as many years as I've known you...I really don't know much about your take on the Blazers at all.....
