    Look at this roster:

    https://hoopshype.com/salaries/los_angeles_lakers/

Other than Luka and LBJ.....not good. They have a lot of potential matching "contracts" that they can use for trades, but none of them are very desirable. Reaves is ok, but is he even a starter for a good team? A little overrated IMO. And not many draft picks to attach to incentivise.

It will be interesting to see what Pelinka can do. I think their assets are best for getting a player where the team wants to get out of a long contract. (ie. Rui and DFS for Grant)

It will also be interesting to see if LBJ opts out and goes to a team that is on the verge of competing. I am sure the Laers would let him take his son with him. I just don't think he wants to go out like this.

I think Reaves is a little better than you give him credit for; hasn't had a good playoff series though.

but he and Hachimura are supporting players; neither are primary options. Lakers could be headed for a long dry-spell of lottery landings made worse by only have 2 of their 1st round picks over the next 5 years

of course, just about every time over the last 3-4 decades you think the Lakers are boned by their situation, they end up with a magical beans trade that un-bones them

I gave him credit for being ok. I would like him coming off our bench at SG.

he could probably start at PG. He's a better passer than Simons and not the turnover machine that Scoot is. Lakers won't trade him though

I would rather start Deni at PG over Reaves.

Entering the playoffs, more money had been wagered on the Los Angeles Lakers to win the Finals than on any other team at multiple sportsbooks. That money will be staying with the house.

The Lakers bowed out of the NBA playoffs in the first round Wednesday, losing to the Minnesota Timberwolves in five games. They were nearly -200 favorites to beat the Timberwolves and attracted lopsided support from bettors to win the series. Lakers in six games was the most popular betting option in the series at ESPN BET.

Things are going to be a little rough at @THE HCP household, so don't forget to tip the Mrs when you see her.

This is why sports betting is so huge today. People bet with their emotions rather than their head. The bookies know that so they clean up.

Oh man I haven’t looked back, but I don’t think anybody had them finishing 3rd in the west sir. They, like us had a much better season than expected. It’s ok to acknowledge that.

It's why the public teams always have worse odds, the Lakers, Cowboys, Yankees are teams people love to bet so they always have the worst odds.

I believe I’m to blame for this lost. I scored some great tickets for my son The HCP Jr. to the game….. I believe he jinxed the Lake Show! He said he had a great time though!

    Well done Junior.

He looks like one of those guys who just goes by Junior his whole life and none of his friends even know the rest of his name.

no way. A PG can't be a turnover factory like he was. Avdija's assist/turnover rate this season was 1.43....that's a total disaster rate for a PG. Reaves was 2.38, Simons was 2.35; Scoot was 1.89

    Haliburton was 5.61; CP3 4.69; Van Vleet 3.83; Dinwiddie 3.42; Payton Pritchard 3.36; Jokic 3.11; Jrue 3.10; Jamal Murray 2.92; Brunson 2.90

How did I know you would come back with "stats". Bottom line is, Reaves is not a PG either. I stand by my statement that is he would not start for us.

I was just listening to NBA radio, and they were lighting him up for his lack of defense. At least Deni plays D.

Your son was rooting for the Lakers? I'm going to have to rethink this good dad stuff I have been saying about you.
