Doubt it. This team needs to win and not worry about things like showcasing backup PGs. If anything, Sergio's complaining for lack of PT got him a little bit more of a leash with Nate, and Nate's letting him do his thing until he screws up royally and needs to be pulled.

Sergio and Bayless are the future PG of this tem IMO...not Steve Blake.

I can't lie... Sergio really is growing on me. I love the alley oops and after the Magic game... he is growing on me a ton.

I agree with this. It feels like Rudy is bring Sergio along with him by bringing out the best in Sergio.

Sergio is going to ride Rudy's coattails . . . all the way to starting???

We have gone over it a million times - Blake and Jack were never as bad as Sergio on defense and both scored more than him - and the Jack discussion is irrelevant - he played backup SG for us last year, not backup PG.

Sergio played 9mpg as our backup PG behind Blake and Roy last year and he is playing the same role this year. Jack's minutes were replaced by Rudy.

His effectiveness as a passer was questionable last year since people allowed him to shoot at will. He never connected.

Last night - he made 2 shots, people could not double him, he stayed in front of his man on D (when was the last time this happened?) and he got the minutes.

There is nothing complicated about it. He earned his minutes. Minutes need to be earned, not given.

    Yeah, right.

Almost half as easily as they blow by Blake and Roy.

The ONLY time opposing PG's don't torch us is when Sergio is in.
