Spanish Chocolate is taking his talents to Philly. Kind of interested to see how much his game has improved since going back to Spain all those years ago
I was already interested in Philly because of Simmons and potentially Embiid. Now they just became my fave EC team.
wow, it looks like he raised his 3 pt % to around 40% the last 2 seasons, and 3 years ago shot 50% from 3 pt.
They've been mine since they picked up Noel, might road trip to philly and catch the blazer game there this year.
Good for Sergio! Hope it works out much better this time around! Congrats! I think I read that Ish went to another team too, so Sergio is probably the starter.
Sergio was maybe the best PG in Europe this past 2 years, at least one of the best. He became much more assertive, developed a more diverse offensive game and his defense improved greatly. Unlike Rudy whose been going downhill since the Ariza foul, Sergio grew into a much better basketball player. My theory: it's the beard
Sergio was so much fun to see - until he had to play defense or shoot a jumper. Assuming his improvements in the Euro leagues translate to the NBA - he is going to be so much fun to watch.
Hey Boob! Come out to play! Sergio was one of the greatest rookie point guards in NBA history. He averaged 9.1 assists per 36 minutes, as this link says... http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/r/rodrise01.html ...which places him 10th best in all history, for players with at least his number of minutes. http://bkref.com/tiny/PT1Le At 9.1, Sergio Rodriguez is greater than every Hall of Famer in history except John Stockton. http://bkref.com/tiny/Ce0ck
His free throw percentage was .808. He would rank 17th among Hall of Famers. http://bkref.com/tiny/BzSZP His assist percentage, .419, is 5th greatest al-time. http://bkref.com/tiny/cPA0i
I saw him go 22-25 from 3 in pregame shootaround once, too. Seriously, though, one of McScribbles' best plays was the Rudy curl around the FT line alley-oop to the baseline cutter. Loved that play.
