<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TheTruth5:</div><div class="quote_post">It was a great game to watch and both teams really played well. All in all I think the Heat won this one thanks to Wades clutch plays in the end. And all though he had a good game, Im putting the blame on the Bulls loss on Nocioni for the wild shot he forced in the end...lol If I would be a Bulls fan I woulda killed someone.</div>

Yeah it was a great game, atleast it wasnt a blow out like the Spurs/Sacto game.

yeah and that will be the Mavericks game I am betting.

    Bulls won't be on games 2, 3 and 4.

Depends on the schedule for 5,6 and 7 (and lets hope it gets that far) if the Bulls will be on.

where do you see the total posts on a board?

anyways, nice game by both teams. it was a really exciting game to watch. ben gordon was once again just spectacular, but the bulls had no answer for wade in the 4th. even though the bulls lost the game, i think they showed the world that they have what it takes to compete with the heat, and i expect to see a long and exciting series. next game, who knows what the status of haslem will be? also, dwayne wade will not be 100%, so i think the bull have a chance to win game 2.

    Haslem will be interesting.

Wade only had a cramp they said, so it doesnt seem to be too bad.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">After Udonis Haslem was tossed for tossing his mouthpiece, Dwyane Wade and Shaquille O'Neal let their play do the talking.

Wade scored 14 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter and O'Neal had 27 points and 16 rebounds as the Heat recovered for a 111-106 victory over the scrappy Chicago Bulls in Game One of their Eastern Conference first-round series.

Jason Williams scored 17 points for the second-seeded Heat, who shot 63 percent (24-of-38) from the field in the first half but had to scramble in the fourth quarter to turn back a rally by the seventh-seeded Bulls.

The series opener became a battle of attrition, as the Heat lost Haslem to an ejection in the second quarter and Wade to cramps in the final minute. Meanwhile, the Bulls saw guard Kirk Hinrich and center Tyson Chandler foul out.

With 4:11 left in the second quarter, Haslem beat a trio of Bulls to a loose ball but lost his balance beneath the basket. He threw away a pass as he fell to the floor and - upset that a foul had not been called - fired his mouthpiece across the court in the direction of veteran referee Joey Crawford.

Crawford interrupted a potential fast break to whistle Haslem for a technical foul and eject the power forward, who now faces a possible league suspension for Game Two on Monday.

Sparked by an incited crowd, the Heat closed the first half with a 20-11 surge fueled by seven points from Wade, turning a three-point lead into a 63-51 halftime bulge.

As they have all season, the Bulls continued to battle. They closed to 87-82 after three quarters and began the final period by taking their first lead with a 9-0 run featuring seven points from Ben Gordon, who scored 35.

Relatively quiet on offense to that point, Wade came alive with six straight points to reclaim the lead for good for the Heat. O'Neal had a follow dunk for a 95-91 edge with 6:31 to go.

A pair of drives by Wade inched the margin to 104-99 before Chicago's Andres Nocioni drained a 3-pointer with 2:36 remaining. But that was the game's last basket.

After Wade's two free throws made it 107-104 with 1:49 to play, the teams traded empty possessions until Nocioni missed a potential tying 3-pointer that was rebounded by Wade, who sank two more from the line to seal it with 14 seconds left.</div>

This was by far the best game of the playoffs so far. Damn the Bulls just don't back down and constantly fight back. Once they took their first lead in the 4th quarter, I thought they going to pull out the victory.

Two possessions, which killed their momentum was a rushed, off balanced shot by Ben Gordon. The Bulls could have pushed the lead to 4 if they ran their offense and worked it for a better look.

Then the next possession Malik Allen got stuck with the ball in his hands and the shotclock close to expiring.

The Heat came back and took the lead and got momentum back after Wade got the and 1 with his drive on Chandler.

The Bulls need a lot better from Mike Sweetney in the next game. He was playing scared on the court and fumbled a wide open layup and then missed the tip in off the miss. Him and Tyson Chandler have to step it up a notch in the next game.

Nocioni is a beast out there for the Bulls, I love how plays the game.

Wade left the game before it ended, it looked like his left leg was cramping up. It would be unfortunate if he's injured again in the post season.

The Heat could also be without Haslem after he through his mouthpiece at the official. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a 1-Game suspension because Stern and Stu Jackson protect the officials. That was idiotic of Haslem you have to show some composure out there.

I know what I'm about to say isn't really that important but I'll say it anyways, For some reason I can almost guarantee that Wade and Nocioni will fight at somepoint in this series. Last year they did, and its only Game 1 and Nocioni got Wade on a hard foul already.

It's possible, but both understand how important they are for their team. If they throw a punch it's an automatic suspension. I also think the officials will be on top of it so neither player gets out of hand.

They wouldnt be that stupid, especially if Haslem gets suspended, they know anything that dumb will cost the team.

Good game though. Gordon did really well. Hopefully next game Hinrich could get going early and Deng do some damage of the bench. We need to find a way to stop Shaq do low so close to the basket.

I was watching the replay of the game last night. Does anyone else remember Ben Gordon breaking Dwyane Wade's ankles? He crossed Wade up so bad, Wade fell on his butt and then Gordon hit a jumper. If you watch the Bulls v. Heat highlights on nba.com it shows the play. It happened right before the 1st quarter ended.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">It didn't take long for Bulls forward Andres Nocioni to become public enemy No. 1 in the American Airlines Arena.

As he headed for the bench late in the first half after being replaced in the lineup by Eric Piatkowski, the crowd of 20,288 booed loudly as soon as Nocioni's name was announced over the public address system.

    Now that's respect.

There were no anti-Nocioni signs in the stands like last postseason in Washington -- my favorite was ''Break his Nose-cioni,''-- but the series just started.

If Game 1 Saturday night was any indication, this figures to be a long, hotly contested series. The Miami Heat posted a 111-106 victory, but it took stellar efforts from Shaquille O'Neal (27 points, 16 rebounds and five blocks) and Dwyane Wade (30 points, 11 assists) for the heavily-favored Heat to pull out the victory.

The Bulls were blown out in Games 3 and 4 of last year's first-round series with the Washington Wizards, and that essentially turned around the series as the Bulls dropped four straight after winning the first two games.

Whether the Bulls can upset Miami in the best-of-seven remains to be seen, but the Bulls served notice -- with Nocioni leading the way from an effort and hustle standpoint -- that they won't be an easy out.

''We played good,'' Nocioni said. ''I think we played well because we tried to do everything for the team. I think it was a great game.''</div>

DAM! I didn't notice that yesterday. Probably because I was looking at Gordon, but I do remember him hitting that three. Holy crap, he crossed someone that is very quick too.

Wade just got planted on that play I don?t even know how he fell down. I remember the shot by Ben Gordon, but I was watching the game on ESPN Full Circle and they had the Gordon cam on, so the camera was isolated solely on Ben Gordon, thus I didn?t see Wade get his ankles broken during the game. Anyway, that was a really good move, and what made it even funnier was that Gordon was not even going at Wade when he did the crossover, but just trying to get open for a jump shot, good stuff. Ben Gordon is a superstar in the making I don?t care what anyone says.
