I don't like LeBron either but I can't blame him for wanting that Wade Finals '06 treatment from the refs.
Michael Wilbon just said the charge was a bad call That's all the proof I need to know it was a good call
don't most player cry about not getting a call, why do you hate Lebron for doing it. He get his ass kissed by the media all the time, but it's probably because he's a good guy off the court.
Well we're all watching the Lakers game right now and Kobe is getting no-where near the treatment that James got. It has been this way all post season. Kobe is a class act though, and same with Wade, they never act like they're at the top of the world and act cocky during games. James on the other hand does it 24/7.

your so funny, im not a cavs fan but wow they are awesome, CELTICS SUCKK, 66 wins buh not a single road win during the playoffs? thats just sad, but its tru no celtics player could score 40 points and take over a game. Again im not a cavs fan or LBJ fan (his overrated) but Celtics are gtn owned, first a 7 game series wit hawks now wit cavs? so much for the best regural season team
Isn't ESPN always wasting their time sucking up to a star player, or talking about a players past..instead of actually calling the game. I like TNT MUCH better.

lol @ Kobe/Wade not being as whiny as Lebron. I'm telling you, every single star player (and even non-stars) has that same sense of entitlement and arrogance when it comes to officiating.
Yea, Kobe and Wade whine, wave their arms, say come on, look shocked in disbelief, etc. So does KG, Tim Duncan, Shaq, Tmac, etc. They have different techniques, but they all complain. And yes, bigger stars get far more calls than role players. For the charge call on Pierce. Pierce acted he also lowered his shoulder. Lebron acted he reached I'd give the edge to pierce, that it was a blocking foul on Lebron or a no call. However since they are in Cleveland and Lebron is the bigger star, I'm not all that surprized. If it was in Boston, and it was Wally Szerb doing the exact same play on Pierce, quite likely, it would have been a charge on Wally.
On the LeBron issue, I think it's all part of the on-court persona that different people adopt. If you adopt the persona that you will claim calls all day long (and sometimes get the 50/50 ones), it can scare people off making risky defensive plays that could result in free throws. I don't really understand the overrated calls. Yes, too much of his play is inconsistent (e.g. defense, jumpshot) but he has enough ability to add probably 25 wins to the Cavs team, who would otherwise probably be near the bottom of the pile. Kobe, Chris Paul and KG have a much better supporting cast, yet LeBron has nearly taken his team as far. Granted, LBJ and KG play in the lEast and KB and CP3 play in the West, but LeBron has pushed the Celtics to 7, and he's managed to get him teammates involved, too. How that's overrated I don't know. Perhaps it's that I don't get the full media coverage of LeBron, so instead of getting "rating" forced down my throat (which might be too high) I make my decision which is pretty much the only one I get.

I later said in the thread that the Celtics deserved to lose. I know most fans try to make excuses for their team, but I try not to be them. Had that been a no call or a blocking foul, the Celtics could have won the game. But that call killed all momentum and took any chance they had away from them. They probably would have lost anyway, but I still have a right to be mad at what I felt was a horrible call. cpawfan, my bad. I must've glanced over the 50/50 part of your post. I thought you were arguing that it was an obvious charge.
I'm excited for the game tonight, will be the second game I've been able to see in the series and will also be the crucial one. I think the Cavs might win, but they'll need solid contributions from Ilgauskas, Szczerbiak, West and Joe Smith if they are to do so.
Glad you'll be able to watch this one Chingy. I think Boston wins by 8 points, and the game should be in the upper 80s. LeBron with 39 pts, Pierce with 24, KG with 19, Allen with 5 threes. GO CELTICS!!!
