Doesn't the Democratic Party usually preach that they support the education system? So why is it that the states that lean more towards the Democrats spend the least per student on education?
haha...they may have more homeschooled or private schooled children, fewer single parents and fewer intentional communities. These things are hard to quantify.
But that's not what I'm talking about. I'm not talking about them not being as educated. The Democrat states budget the least amount to their schools
In the case of Oregon, without a sales tax contributing to education we rely on property owners, alcohol, tobacco and gambling for our budget and it's not working. If you live here and rent, don't smoke, drink or gamble...you basically get a free ride. Where I live homeschooling and private schooling is huge.
Local kids in Hawaii that make 200 bucks a day on the ginger farm or fishing drop out of school at an alarming rate. They don't value education at all. My son was born there but after teaching there, I'd never let him go to school in the islands.
I want to see more spent on education and when it comes to many governing boards, have little faith in any group that allocates funds for the public. I probably shouldn't even discuss the bi partisan issue because I think it's dividing the country and being defined as more important than it should be. Go maroon!
I 100% agree. I think the GOP and DEMS need to put their head on straight and fix our country from within. Cutting education is a shitty way to invest in our future.
Disablity checks are soaking Oregon's funds. People here are not very happy with the governor I can assure you. Corruption doesn't have a political definition
1000% this! There are teachers that don't really give a shit. They bought into the fact that they are underpaid and shouldn't do more than required.
Parents should be more accountable and actually have parenting skills before they start making babies
I should have said Kitz..my bad..Kate Brown I only know one thing about and it's from sensationalism in the press
