Its still a possibility.. Our great great great grandchildren probably went back in time and made them.
1. Trading Dre for Felton was a really dumb move. 2. Meyers Leonard is the most improved returning player on the bench this season. 3. Nico was worth matching when it came to the Wolves offer 4. Lamarcus does want to retire a career Blazer and set franchise records here 5. Kaman was going to love playing here 6. When he wasn't asked to be a starting pt guard, Jamal Crawford would again become 6th man of the year playing his natural role. 7. Boogie Cousins would have been worth the risk last season when everyone thought he was turning into a raving idiot
i dont regret drafting oden still... we get durant, we probably dont get lillard. it worked out strangely enough. except we'd get a lot less batum hate. lol.
I said BRoy was washed up the season before he took medical retirement one day after saying he'd never felt better. He then went on to prove me right again when I predicted he wouldn't last half a season with the Wolves.
Thomas was another 'right' I got. He was my 1b with Faried at #21. Coming into the draft people assumed he was really 5'5" but he measured 5'9" without shoes and 5'10.25" with shoes combined with a longer wingspan and standing reach than CP3, I thought he'd be a lock to go in the first. Going #60 was insulting. I was a huge fan of his and thought he'd turn into what JJ Barea was to Dallas during their title run. And he's turned into just that, only much better.
Here is all the non Blazer related busts I was right about: 1. Jan Vesely 2. Yi 3. Michael Beasley 4. Ekpe Udoh 5. The Stache Here are the players I was wrong about: 1. Austin Rivers 2. Terrence Williams 3. Evan Turner 4. Hasheem Thabeet 5. Sean May (Most embarrassing but I was like 11...)
Faried. Never watched him play, but knew he was better than Nolan smith based on hair style alone. lillard. Again never watched him play but I watched his workout for blazers and knew he would be great based on the look in his eye. joel przybilla. I loved him before it was cool. kobe. I knew his new contract would cripple the purple and piss and I love it. sheed. Knew he would be a champion if he didnt have to worry about anti blazer reffing
I was right about: 1. Gorgui Dieng was a great defensive player in college and thought his playing style would translate well to the NBA. 2. Faried over Nolan in the draft 3. Damian eventually becoming the Blazers franchise player (he's well on his way!) I was wrong about: Rolo. He is now one of my favorite players on the team!
