I just kind of figured that everyone in here that's posting about this has done their own due diligence; so they'd know what I was talking about. Before he reclassified Shaedon was the number one ranked prospect in the 2023 draft class, after he reclassified the people at ESPN had him third, so that would be in front of one of those three that you mentioned... I know that Holmgren was first at that time. He sunk from third as others played and he didn't after reclassifying. I would add to your last sentence that he MIGHT be very good right now. We just don't know. We know he has the physical talent and we know about a lot of his skills but we have to see if his motor and BBIQ match or come close to matching those things we know he is doing at a high level. If his effort and head for the game are as advanced as his talents and skills then he will beat out guys on this roster for serious playing time. We just don't know where those things are at until we see him playing in live game action but we do know he is a freak athlete, we do know that his shot falls from just about anywhere in the half court and we know he has a pretty slick handle for a wing.
I am in no way a pro. And shit, I’m just using my iPhone. I’d love to have more people post over in our photo thread.
Did you just type “potential superstar”!!!??? “Future allstar”!!!!??? What the hell? No wonder so many of you are always ready to jump off the ledge. This place never ceases to amaze. Good lord.
Bro I could edit for you 100 videos of players who looked like they were the next “sure thing” and either didn’t get drafter or were out of the league in 24 months. Amazing.
These are the same people who think we will finish with home court advantage this season in the playoffs. Sigh….
You don't think that this kid, who was the number one recruit in his class until he reclassified, who jumps out of the gym, who has a really solid jumper and has a nice handle... doesn't have superstar potential? Jay Bilas who made a point of attending a lot of UK practices this year just to watch Shaedon thinks he has the most upside out of the guys drafted in 2022. So yeah, I think a guy that many experts saw as the steal of the draft is a future allstar with superstar potential. He also has a bunch of unknown factors, so he has some bust potential. I don't know why high hopes for this guy elicit "What the hell?" and "Good lord." He's a highly touted prospect and we really have no idea how developed he is. He could be ready to contribute right away and he could take a while but I think he'll be an allstar. I guess we'll wait and see. I don't think there's anything outrageous about my take on Shaedon.
I think there are a lot of unknowns with us and even around the league right now. I have us as the 6th or 7th seed in the West. We could be in the play ins or we could also be a little higher than my prediction.
Pretty much everyone. People were mesmerized by his fluidity and skills in pre-draft workouts. None of it translated to game action.
Do you just come to the basketball side of the site strictly to talk down to and otherwise mock and insult fans that feel differently than you do?
In 2019 T. Herro played 27 minutes per game as a rook, who spend 1 year at Kentucky. Drafted 17th and averaged 13ppg. John Calipari said he thought Shaedon would be a number 1 pick if he's played 1 year. The reporter spouted off "how would you know that" Calipari replied " I know Ive had 7 first picks". So when I hear that, to think he couldn't average 13-15 mpg wouldn't be that alarming.
No, I think you don't agree with someone or a position, and you spend many post afterwards passive aggressively responding in a mocking or condescending manner.
