^ The Lakers arent a terrible team, but they have taken a large step backwards. You just don't trade Shaq...there is no one in the League who can give you what Shaq gives you, pure, raw, animalistic domanice. Not even TD or KG dominate in the way Shaq does. LA will make the playoffs, but not as far as the Heat make it into the Eastern Conference Playoffs. I would say that Shaq would reject Kobe. Really, Kobe may be able to jump, but he can't go over Shaq, it is impossible, really. Mutombo would be easier to dunk on, as he is like hitting a think tree. Shaq is more like hitting a piece of solid iron...there's not much give to it. Either way, that game will be the highlight of my Christmas.
I think it's fair to say these things: The Heat are a threat in the East...a big one. Shaq can block Kobe, and Kobe can dunk on Shaq (yet neither has been seen, but it's possible). The Lakers may have lost Shaq, but don't underestimate them. Tierre Brown is proving to be really good...shockingly. Nobody thought the Pistons would win last year, either...but they did. The Heat have lost three out of 5 key players, but Shaq/Wade may work well enough for a championship...we don't know. Has anyone seen the impact Kobe has made on Brian Cook? It's incredible. People say Kobe couldn't make others better...but he's already doing that this preseason. From what I see, Shaq is slimmed-down and determined to win. The only problem, and I have mentioned this MANY times before, is that I'm seeing him on the bench holding his hammy...which is NOT what the Heat want. A healthy Shaq, and the Heat go VERY far...but if he's hurt, it's over, and you Heat fans can admit that. Same with Kobe. No Kobe, the Lakers are out of contention. These statements should be fair enough to make...
