Kobe will eventually find someone else to compliment him. It doesnt have to be Shaq.

It was alot different when penny was with Orlando. First off, his all star play ended since he had that serious injury. The guy never fully recovered.

Plus Penny was never was surrounded by anyone talented enough to help him after Shaq left. Kobe has potential all-stars such as Odom and Butler to help him out. Not to mention Gary Payton and possibly Karl Malone. Its not the same. Kobe also has loads of experience in the playoffs and has 3 championships. Something Penny and T-Mac has never had. To compare Kobe to T-Mac or Penny is just plain stupid.

Some of you guys are laughable seriously, I like the post that says when Kobe's shot wasn't falling he passed the ball. I haven laughed that hard in a while, he was like 7 for 25 in game 4 and 8 for 25 in game 5. Maybe you have one of those new satelittes where you can watch different TV than the rest of us because in the finals I saw Kobe Jacking up some trash! Then the claim that shaq got dominated by the Wallaces? Was he responsible for for 2 guys there? Sorry but Malone's knee was the problem inside for the Lakers not Shaq. How about when Shaq put up 36 and 20 in Game 4? Sounds like he got dominated there and that he can't rebound for his size! O but the Lakers lost that one so in the other guys kobe vs. shaq it is a point against shaq.

The guy who said something about Martin cancelling duncan or playing him or whatever, you should be commited to an asylum bud. Did you see the 2003 finals? Maybe you had one of those special dishes too! Martin has always dissapered in the playoffs and though Denver will be improved they will not be anywhere near SA. SA with Barry and Manu back on board! Yikes! they needed a shooter and they only got the best one out there this of season. Scary, especially if they land malone, OK if they get Malone F#@* it give them the trophy right now.

    Shaq has 3 finals MVP'S.
    How many does Kobe have?
The guy who claimed the players show up in the playoffs was right, and Shaq did!three times even!

    What about Shaq without Kobe?

You know kobe has the most assists to shaq

I think next year's team will play better ball than they did with Shaq

Youre right passing the ball to Shaq is way to hard for someone like Dwayne Wade or Eddie Jones to handle. Until Kobe arrived noone had even thought to pass the ball to Shaq, Kobe is a basketball Genius!

You are correct, sir. Another one of Kobe's brilliant strategies was to
jack up threes even though there are two or three guys covering him,
thus clearing out the middle allowing Shaq to grab the rebound. Just think
how badly Shaq's rebounding average will fall without Kobe throwing up
    20 clankers a game.

You need to stop using all caps. It's the equivalent to shouting and that's not needed or allowed here at JBB.

See this guy knows whats up! All this time Shaq was doubting Kobe as a team player, he was just hooking him up with all those offensive rebounds!

    </div>

Shaq did get dominated by both Wallaces. He might not be solely responsible for them, but he is responsible for dominating the painted area on both ends of the court. Shaq put up points in the paint, but he also gave them right back. He allowed Ben Wallace to score 18 points and grab 22 rebounds in game 5, 10 of them offensive boards. In Game 4 Shaq got the better of the Pistons, but it was his only good game in the series. In Game 3 they had double digits again on the offensive glass, with 15 and out rebounded the Lakers 51 to 39. Game 2 the Pistons grabbed 19 offensive boards and Ben Wallace recorded a 12 / 14 game against Shaq. Giving up that many rebounds when you are Shaq's size and have his talent is unacceptable. The Pistons controlled the boards defensively and offensively, thus dominating Shaq on the inside. Maybe you are the one with funny satellite tv?

Sure Kobe forced a lot of shots in the Detroit series, and I blame a lot of his off nights on the lack of coaching and adjustments made by Phil Jackson. In the second half of the games Shaq disappeared on offense because he got lazy and did not fight for position like he was doing in the 1st half of the games. If you track Shaq's scoring from half to half, there's a huge decline, because Shaq did his damage only in the first half.
