It wasn't a ton, just a couple per game. Also, Andre Miller was not a horrible shooter, just not a proficient outside shooter. His 52 point game says so. He used to make shots, but not shoot many. He picked his spots, the opposite of volume shooting.

59 is 3 every 4 games. 87 is 1 per game. My couple per game estimate was high.

For me today....one week prior to FA-day.......

I want Howard to WANT to come here to play with Dame and CJ. I want to sign him for no more than $24M/yr so that we don't have to decimate our bench.
If he demands $30/M max....then I think that's a sign that he's not perfectly suited for our team / age / injuries / etc. Let him go.

I really think Whiteside is the better choice for us, partly because of his age (26) and max contract size ($22/M) and the fact we WOULD be able to re-sign some of our valuable free agents (Crabbe, Harkless, Leonard).

I kinda hope Howard is first off the board and goes to NYK. I can laugh and move on.

You can get to around 27 million by renouncing kaman, roberts and henderson. Trading plumlee for a future 1st, and terminating alexanders deal.

Id offer him that and if he balks, move on.

My sources confirm that Neil Olshey will be on the telephone today. No word yet as to whether or not it will be draft related.

By pressing the tip of his tongue against the front of the roof of his mouth and forming his mouth into an 'O' shape while he forces air from his lungs.

Actually Camby threw lob passes more often than he received them. Dre is a lob master, Camby was a really good passer

Again, the question is, can Dame and CJ become good lob passers if Howard comes here? I think they can learn.

    18m a year for Howard?

I wouldn't want to pay him more than that, doubt we could get him for less. Pipe dream is 15m a year for 2-3 years. Bones was saying he thinks Dallas may be willing to throw more money at him than us, I think he would be more successful here and therefor should consider taking less to play here.

Can we just sign him so Wookee would be forced to cheer for him?

there are 2 teams I suspect will throw the bank at Howard. Dallas and New York.

If one of them is willing to spend 30 million on him, go ahead. My only concern is that Portland doesn't spend this summers cap space (and thus it basically disappears) or they just continue the trend of picking up scraps. While it worked the last few times, it's not a strong method for getting a team over the top.
