I agree. His athletic superiority is no longer a strength. He is still good, just not dominating like he was in Orlando.

However I think there is a good chance that who he is now will be who he is over the next 4 years. His elite athleticism may be gone, but does that mean it will continue to deteriorate? Maybe, but I think there is a good chance he plateau's out for at least another 3 years.

If we got him we would probably end up over paying him, but I would roll the dice...however I would not trade Plums for a future draft pick as some suggest. I want to see him one more year. He can still improve IMO

    Ok, here it goes again.

Sign Howard. trade Plumlee and whatever else not named Lillard or McCollum to Cleveland along with picks for Love

    Howard
    Love
    Harkless?
    McCollum
    Lillard

I don't hate it under Stotts. Allows us to beat people from both inside and out, unlike last year when it was just out

Kevin Love does nothing for me, and shouldn't for you either. I wouldn't even trade Ed Davis straight up for that stat padder.

They are simply trying to bring some attention to their radio show.
No way in hell Olshey would bring Dwight Howard here. He doesnt fit Olshey's plan, build with guys around the same age as Lillard and CJ. Dwight doesnt fit our team first culture.

I think we could go at Monroe with Plumlee and future pick.

Plums was pretty good at distributing though. Dwight never gets a chance because he gets fouled the second he gets the ball.

Cleveland is gonna want CJ for Love. They gave up Wiggins. We have the luxury of Crabbe being able to slide into that starting two guard spot, so I might be inclined to make the move. I think Love would be PERFECT next to Howard. He's exactly the kind of PF that Howard has been needing.

Olshay went hard for Greg Monroe. No way he's turning a down a shot a Howard.

He immediately passed because he didn't have a tear drop shot or the confidence to make a couple at the line. Not to say he can't improve there, but he killed in crunch time with his lack of confidence around the rim.

What's your point? Lillard and Monroe are about the same age.

Sure, they can want CJ all they want. People in hell want ice water. No way we trade CJ for Love.

I would be very tempted to trade CJ for Blake if we got Howard, but Love doesn't have that value anymore.

Olshey stated if there was a veteran that would speed up the process available, he would look into signing him. I think that applies here.

Talking about talent and reputation. Monroe was a little bit of malcontent with the Pistons system and isn't as talented as Dwight. Age isn't the only thing a GM look at. We are talking about an 8-time All Star that is still crazy productive.

Man this sentiment is so played out. Yes Olshey has said that in the past but every single player doesn't need to be 24 or 25 for god sakes. We can have 1 or 2 vets that are 29-31 years old that can hurry our win now mode just a little bit while at the same time doesn't kill our youth

Dwight hasn't been an all-star for two years. He hasn't scored 1300 points in a season in FIVE YEARS. In order to be worthwhile, he needs to get back to shooting ~60% FT, but he hasn't hit even 55% since 2010-2011. If he's just sandbagging, he's been sandbagging for 1/3 of his career.
