Well he's not mentally tough. And he's never struck me as an enforcer on any level.

Is Ian Begley the guy that says every single free agent is interested in the Knicks?

Sounds like Derrick Rose is close to being traded to New York, so would they even have the cap space to sign Dwight if that happened?

I would feel bad. I'd rather have CJ/Aminu/Davis

You reward a player like Dirk by not trading him. He wants to retire a Mav, let him.

The knicks would be a terrible idea.

    Lillard will defer to howard.

Melo, rose, and porzingas will take a lot of the spotlight away from him. Melo will want all the spotlight and it would be a constant battle. And the ny media would murder him.

Going to New York would be the kind of move that the old Dwight would make. I guess we shall see.

Dallas would pay him more. He'd have to choose winning over money to come here...not sure it's in his blood anymore

I hear he's planning on agreeing to sign with Dallas, but then change his mind and sign in NY.....

(I hope no Mavs fans read this!)

Are we sure that he is not mentally tough? He did get his team to the NBA finals. Here he would have some help.

Not to poopoo your idea, but didn't someone post a few weeks ago talking about the minimum cap holds. & that by weaving alexandor or montero you free up zero capspace.

Unless it completely changed in the last cba, this would be false.

A minimum cap hold would be the minimum salary for a 2nd round draft pick or undrafted free agent. Which was about 480k.

Montero and alexander are on the hook next year for about 875k/each (unguaranteed) So it would give us a little more to offer howard.
