These ESPN LA Media whores are going to drive me to drink. I quit in '86. My heart dropped a mile this morning reading their shit. Man!

Ha! Ingram is not on the table

You START the package with Ingram.

Btw, I don't believe this source. He'd be the first ESPN employee to not have his account certified if that were the case.

Be realistic man, you are selfish if you want Dame to flounder on a .500 team in Portland during his prime years when he has a once in a lifetime chance to win championships with LeBron... if you really care for Dame you would want the best for him... Neil wouldn’t trade him without his approval anyways... and if that deal happened it would be a pretty good haul of young players for the Blazers from LA, setting up a nice future with a core of Zach, Simons, Ball, Kuzma or Ingram and multiple 1st

Wanting to keep your BEST, and it ain't close, player is not selfish. Selfish is always being a bitching buzzkill to fans of their team. Take that! for what it's worth.

And if ZACH turns out to be that good, which I certainly hope happens, the fact it will be next to a, STILL YOUNG,Damian Lillard is an awesome recipe for Blazer success. That is what Blazer fans want. The Lakers can burn in hell. If NOT helping the Lakers is selfish. Then so be it.

I care first and foremost about the laundry/name on the front.

I don't care if Damian wins a title wearing an NBA uniform that doesn't say the word "Portland" or "Blazers" on it.

It's sad. I'm so dejected about this off-season that I actually went to the trade machine on this. Lillard + Myle/Swan/Jake/PapaG for Deng/Ball/Ingram/Kuz/Hart works and saves us almost $9m this year.

And crushes my soul, but does that really matter anymore? :goth:

If the package was too steep for them (basically, the BOS-BKN fleecing plus 2-3 young players like Ball/Ingram) for Kawhi, they likely wouldn't pay it for Lillard. But yeah, if I was Magic, I'd make that call, too. You'd be dumb not to.

Ingram, Ball, Kuzma, two most distant unprotected picks and swap rights for the year between and I would consider doing the deal. Then trade CJ for youth and picks. Trade Aminu for an overpaid contract and a pick.

We need to either build to contend in the next 3 years or go for youth such as the above. We are waisting Dame and CJ prime. They are nearing 30 and will start declining. PG is the position that declines the earliest.

It's not wasting time. Building a team requires you keep YOUR stars, and hope that the youth you add turns into something special. Giving your stars away for more "unproven" youth is suicide. Might as well enjoy being a hamster in a wheel. You're going nowhere. If you're impatient now, get that youth, and really get frustrated.

Just throwing it out there, oft-injured "Point God" CP3 just got a 4yr Max/160M which means that someone thinks he'll be a good-to-great player at 37.

Durable Dame D.O.L.L.A. turns 28 in 2 weeks.

"Wasting his prime" << "Keeping your stars in your uniform as long as you can"

Dude, this is so comical... the current roster is the definition of hamster wheel... this team is going nowhere fast and there is zero chance for championship... you are complaining about a rebuild that is inevitable and you want to delay it by 3 years... and probably longer because we will lose Dame for nothing like we did Aldridge instead of getting a super package of assets which would actually dramatically accelerate a rebuild... come back to reality man

No! you know i'm saying that I want to continue to build around a young Damian Lillard, and see where it goes. YOU, on the other hand, want the hamster wheel approach.

Dame is a proven commodity. Future draftpicks are nothing but maybe's.
