I don't know how you are always referring to the constitution but you don't even get it on a simple level. You can't, in general, pass a law that discriminates against a particular sex. You don't get that? And then you want to pass a law that you don't even know how it applies to gay marriages???? "Section 1 All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. No where in the law I purpose is anyone being denied equal protection of the law. It purposes to hold the father accountable for upholding his responsibility and for the law to not allow that responsibility to default to the woman once the father leaves for what ever reason. Neither the father or the mother is denied equal protection. As for the Gays, I could say I really don't give a shit since they really don't count in the context of this discussion, but being a kind person, I will leave it to them to define since that is a continuing story in any case.

Read it on the net, his parent split about five years ago. Looks like good ole dad left the guns at the house though. Even "secured" them, but his responsibility should not end there, should it?
Quite a stretch to assume the father was never home or in his life. Stupid post. He is a kid, they get into everything. Just because his parents split doesn't mean his dad wasn't there for him.

Actually I meant it as a way to poke fun at your stance about the father. Based off of a couple of paragraphs about the kid and his family I don't see how you can jump to the conclusions you are.
Perhaps I am wrong but it fits the pattern. On the other hand, I am can't be all that far wrong, the guns were from the home the kid lives in, he did find a way to get them, he did take them to school and miss use them. Do you suppose his mother bought them for him? In the end, who do you think is responsible for raising a boy to manhood gun savy or not? I have a feeling the answer here for most of this board, is "the Village" in regard to the last question.
But we also know this about the shooter, He attended school. He participated in class and got average to good grades. He was involved in extracurricular activities. He was never previously in trouble with the law. He was active in his church. These all point to some good/successful parenting going on in the house. You've had guns in your house, there was no way, 100% no way your son could have gotten a hold of one of your guns? No tools, welder, anything to defeat where all of your guns might have been locked up in?
My buddy has over 100 guns, thinks Obama is a dictator, and has a basement full of ammo. And I'm not scared of him one bit. Another buddy is a "regular" dude, he mentioned getting a gun and it sent shivers down my spine. Some people just shouldn't have guns
